Watching Twitter updates at Eindhoven Airport, strikes me we keep putting the ball down and Lam has seen the wisdom of a low bouncing ball over a predictable high bomb. What a Slightly Amazing coincide, (not that much) I'm currently in a Departure lounge at Manchester airport , Pat Lam also Had the Luck of a Fellow pie Eater as a Ref, who was Abysmal. We had a better second half Speeded up the Play the Ball But the injuries didn't help. Ken Sio Has a Relaxed playing style or maybe he's not yet fully match fit at least we've got cover for Evalds at FB when he went off. All in all Nowt really surprised me . Apart from £1.80 for a Regular sized Twix🤔 Cheaper and bigger at the airport.

I've slept since the Supporters Trust AGM last night but, IIRC, Paul King said the club don't make anything from any food/beer outlets outside the stadium either (money grabbing StadCo won't allow it). Really looking forward to the game. Wigan bound to put out a strong team with their other 2 pre-season friendlies being against London Skolars this Friday and Barrow on the 26th. I'd imagine a more expansive style of play from them as well with Lam having taken over the reins. This ( above ) Elior UK , own the catering rights to the AJ Bell , and ALL concessions (in Stadium and outside Vans & Tents ) go to Eloir or the SMC Anything the club can set up outside or inside can not include food or drink , gate / ticket receipts ,sponsorship & merchandise are the clubs main income There was a small Real ale bar booth That wasn't open today It had a Barrel from the Sale v Perpignan game Yesterday . They were selling Seven Brothers Session Ale One of the Brother's being ex Red Nathan Mcavoy, There's probably a simple reason that it's not available at Salford games. Although I Did see signage from outside of the Beer tent for the Same beer Not sure if it was on sale today.

Always amazes me about Wigan (Leeds, St Helens as well). Are they offside at the p t b or are they so fast and Salford so slow? And on the 6th tackle how is it they have a hooker or a half back faster that Bolt to tackle the opposing kicker?
Think one offside only in the match....yes against Salford. Think it's a redundant rule until two refs come on board....and it gives cheating sides like Wigan a big edge.

I was also keeping up on Twitter- seems like a decent effort with conversions an issue again. Unfortunately Hastings, Lui and Chamberlain all limped off - Lussick and Evalds ended up in the halves. How did Evalds and Lussick go in the halves? Might be a blessing then getting game time, they will doubtless be the on field halves back up along with Wood. I thought Lussick(MOM) and Evalds did ok especially so when both Hastings and Lui left the field,it looked as if Hastings was doing some test runs, moves and stretching prior to the game. Ken Sio looked very good with a well taken try off a Jackson Hastings kick and he slotted in very well at full back when Evalds moved up to the halves. The young lad came on for the last 4/5 minutes and slotted in very nicely. Overall a nice workout for both sides with something’s to work on before the first match at Huddersfield.

Usually fly from Charleroi where a large pincher (beer glass size) of Jupiler or La Chouffe only €5.40 yet the robbing Schweinehund in Holland are selling low quality crap (Bavaria) for €7.90 a bottle.
Safe flight pal.

Quite a lot of positives I thought . At no point were we outmuscled in the forwards - more an issue with tightening up defensive structures esp around the ruck and that should come with more game time. Impressed with Murray and Dudson up front today - plenty of good solid hard yards . It hardly needs saying , but we look so much more dangerous / imaginative when Hastings and Lui are on .How we have missed a half back who can provide attacking kicks on the last ( how often last year did we score from pinpoint kicks as per Sio’s first try today ? ) Apart from seeing Big Ben struggling to get back onside at one point in the second half , we looked quite fit with no one blowing too hard towards the end. Evalds / Lussick were solid rather than spectacular at HB together , but I’ve seen worse first choice combinations. As a fall back for the potential injuries that will come , it has the potential to develop. Olpherts even managed to catch a couple of high balls - still a work in progress - but I see what Watson sees in him when he runs the ball out early in the tackle count .
seems the injuries to Lui and Hastings are minor but looks like Chamberlain could be out for a spell.
Just need to bring back Luke Burgess for kicking duties and I for one will be looking forward to the season !
And yes I almost got excited when I saw a real ale bar ..... closed

But didn't mind as there were three Warrington fans sat behind me All excited because they'd just watched Wire beat Widnes and Of Course it's going to be there Year apparently. They asked me where there were Bars near there hotel I pointed them in the Direction of a Bar catering for the Women with a little bit extra than the regular Frauleins 😇🤩

They were Somewhat unprepared for the Weather as well Minus-4 in Berlin at the Moment, They only had to walk 200 feet from down the steps in to the Arrivals gate, I'll probably here in the morning about three Men wearing blue and Yellow sports top being admitted to hospital with hypothermia and being a kicking in a Tranny bar.!!

Was minus 7 overnight in Belgium but then again it was more civilised as there was no Warrington fans chasing trannies.
We all know that not only is it always their year but also a balmy 70 degrees and an endless supply of Greenalls finest lukewarm slop on tap.

The only appealing thing In Warrington is the Ikea And the Meatballs followed by a slice of Dime- Daim bar cake . Chris Evans is from Warrington so that says it all.

Can't wait for the Ikea at Barton, meat balls, Daimebar and rugger to follow.

Just got a copy of a personal after-the-game interview with Watto via the Supporters Trust and an edited version of the match. Really good, Watto talks openly about where things are, unlike the formal press stuff.
Think you have to be s member of the Supporters Trust to get it but well worth joining just for this.
