I’m pleased with both signings. Add a decent prop and I’ll be over the moon.

So looks like the squad is coming together more. Back row looking much healthier
Evalds Sio Sau Welham Chamberlain Lui Hastings Mossop Lussick Murray Jones McCarthy Flanagan
Wood Nakuwubai Burke Turgut
Lawton Tomkins Griffin Bibby Johnson Olpherts
Still think we need 2 more props and I’d like another three quarter too if we can afford it
Swap him and JJ and I'll be happy
You laugh but you'd like to see him running wide like Coley or Patterson.
Got to be some sort of record if he and Big Ben are 2nd row, can't think of a taller combination than that.
Yep - Lawton running wide could give us a strike option we didn’t have this season

I like this bit best
" ....we’re hoping he is the first of a few more signings in the middles.” a few more!

Yes on their way. Walton has great awareness and great hands as well. A young Corey Patterson with two good knees!

There's no info on where Lawton has been playing, all I can find is that he had been released by Widnes to head of to Aus.

Blimey. Lawton is a big lad. 6'7" and 19 stone.

Unless you're a little fibber I just lost the enthusiasm for him signing. Thought he'd gone to play in the lower grade game in Aus.

He played for Redcliffe Dolphins in Aus, who I think are Brisbane feeder team(could be wrong)!! Last season he quit the sport to work full time and played for West Bank. No harm in us giving him a chance, you don’t lose talent.

He'll get a full pre season aswell to shake the cobwebs off, give the lad a chance, looking at the highlights he be hard to stop running at you full pelt

It’s what the embed the pathway approach is all about, players who aren’t ready for SL or pro rugby or can’t do the full time thing now drop down to semi pro or amateur and then back if/when ready. Not saying EtP had anything to do with this or that it was planned in any way (I’ve no idea) but that’s the theory
