That's garbage.
A young player who loves the club allowed to leave.
Well done Rosler, secure our future then sell it.

He's got decent potential but him leaving is hardly worthy of a meltdown.

If the money saved goes towards keeping Hastings and Lussick then I’m all for it. It’s the nature of the beast.

We knew he was going but still sad now it’s confirned. I suspect Hull KR offered him a good deal and we couldn’t match it. He’s off contract I think so he would have had to sort it months ago when it was first said he was off. At that time we were looking fairly doomed. Can’t blame him in the circumstances and we weren’t (aren’t?) in a position to match it

Basically few RL players are loyal; it's all about how you value them and they value themselves.
Think Lannon thought he was worth more than IB thought. But who wants to live in Hull?
As for Wella, Wella past his sell buy date; poor even at Widnes.

As for Wella, Wella past his sell buy date; poor even at Widnes. Nothing to do with loyalty. Players are worth as much as someone is prepared to pay them. We don’t have any money. Hull KR do. Players careers are short and precarious. Doesn’t stop it being a shame he’s moving on though. As for Weller. Yes he’s getting on a bit. He was probably in his best form for us back end of last year and start of this. He’s been poor at Widnes for sure but he’s in a poor team that he has no desire to be at. He was extremely popular with the players at Salford and did a lot of the field and has been missed. Both players gave their all for Salford. Neither has bad mouthed Salford. Welder could have done with the way he was shipped out but has been consummate professional. Lannon could have let his standards drop for last few months once he signed with Rovers but instead he’s been even better for us. No need to be dismissive of players who have moved on if they’ve done right by us while they’ve been with us

This departure has been well flagged for several months. As has been said it doesn’t seem that we can’t afford him, that’s daft,it’s that our valuation of his pay doesn’t match his or his agents. Thats a commercial decision, not an emotional one and it will have been made by Watson and Blease, managing their budget, rather than Rosler. Fair play to the departing players. They’ve played hard until the end, just as Josh Griffin did. Good luck to them.

It's like everything over the wrong side of the Pennines; it's in Yorkshire.

Just a bit of gentle inter city rivalry - no offence intended.

Same old Narrow minded parochial attitudes that exist in Large parts of Yorkshire. And Also Casual racism . Witnessed by myself in some cases towards my ex colleagues in the Army when I had the misfortune to Be stationed for six very long months. You can't tie a ribbon around a turd
