So I'm guessing the back line is:
Chamberlain Olpherts Sau Jones Bibby Lui Shorrocks
With Wood at hooker for long spells with maybe McCarthy stepping in when needed.
Can’t believe I’m coming to this one!

And we've no bar to go in before hand to get the liquid courage required to endure the coming 2 hours ahead.

To me that seems a decent squad bar 2 maybe 3 quality additions. Which begs the question, in MY opinion, why aren't they playing to there own pretty high standards?

HMM .. do we want to beat Leeds? Or do we want them safely in the top 8? If Leeds don't beat Wakefield tonight they will effectively be guaranteed to finish in the bottom 4 as they would be 4 points behind 8th with only two games left. I'm hoping Leeds still have a chance of 8th when they still play us as they will then bring a good following (we need the money) although I can't see any deal for us getting MCB from Wakefield going through if Wakefield look like dropping into the middle eights.

If it means we can finish 9th or 10th and get the extra home game come the Middle 8s, then yeah definitely.
I know where you're coming from though. Our record against Leeds is woeful. They still have a lot of decent players and I think they'll end up picking up a few points with Sinfield/Lowes in charge. If we had a choice between either Leeds or say Wakefield in the MPG, then I'd have to go with Wakefield given Leeds' record in big games.

I'd like to think we wont end up in the MPG. We should turn Leeds over at ours for the last game of the regular season and give the team a boost going into the middle 8's. Leeds would probably win all their games in the 8's but with Hastings, possibly MCB and other bodies back we should be looking to finish 2nd in the middle 8's.

What bodies are we expecting back - sorry Im not up to scratch with the return dates of the injured lads.

If we can keep the scoreline respectable that will do for me. If we somehow manage a win I'll be fairly hungover tomorrow.

I’m taking a mate for his first ever game of rugby league. I’ve explained to him the helpless and endless despair of following Salford so that he doesn’t begin the match with false expectations. I’ve told him he’ll either see a famous and unlikely victory, or some decent and entertaining rugby from a quality Castleford side.
