Also bringing a mate but he’s been to a couple before and knows what to expect!

The effort is there. Cracking defending but lacking a spark in attack. Good half

Cas mucked about at the play the ball all first half and he only gave a couple of penalties. Salford get tired and make some minor infringements and he’s blowing every 2 minutes. Good effort overall and I enjoyed it (so did the mate I brought) and thats what it’s all about. Just need a bit more sharpness in attack.

10 out 10 for effort but effort alone dosent win many points. Indeed . What do points make PRIZES. To Quote a Probably Deceased Game show host from my Youth. In Super League a Prize is a trip in February to Wakefield, Hopefully Not a Visit to Barrow next Feb. Although Nothing wrong with Barrow I have to add. In fact it's My Favourite town that builds Nuclear Submarines. In all the World .

I’m taking a mate for his first ever game of rugby league. I’ve explained to him the helpless and endless despair of following Salford so that he doesn’t begin the match with false expectations. I’ve told him he’ll either see a famous and unlikely victory, or some decent and entertaining rugby from a quality Castleford side. Not the best game but I hope your mate enjoyed it? Poor crowd again probably under 3k even with a decent away following. Let's hope people turn out for the play off games.

He did enjoy it. He’s a Scottish football fan so fairly used to dismal games in poor conditions. Said he’d come again!

He did enjoy it. He’s a Scottish football fan so fairly used to dismal games in poor conditions. Said he’d come again! Nice one. Most people seem to enjoy it when they attend. It's getting them there in the first place that is the problem. We've managed to convert a young lad who was a casual Wigan fan into a Salford fan now he's watched us a few times. I'm sure he will forgive us one day.
