Credit where it's due, I thought Littlejohn had a solid game at fullback. Dealt with the high ball really well and made some good contributions in attack. I agree - his best game yet. Defensive positioning needs a lot of work but thats to be expected. Thought the pack and defence were back to early season form despite being down on numbers. But where have they been for the last two months? Bodes well for the middle 8s.

After I came home from the game,I watched the half time summary and then the second half. Sky made comment about his positioning before one of the tries but overall he did very well. Watson,on radio interview, said that he played well at Hull and the 2 interceptions he gave away we’re part of the learning curve. Generous assessment. Now,with 2 weeks off, you’d expect to continue with Shorrocks at scrum half, his jaw not being broken, and JLJ at full back. Warrington will be a different proposition, though.

FFS post number 3546 on not being bothered and thinking of leaving the club. Do it then and let the fans who care carry on supporting the club we love. A question. How many season tickets did you buy pre season and then pay for a ticket each game? How many half season tickets have you just bid and won on here and will still pay for a ticket each game? Think you'll find a fair number of my posts are running a time consuming prediction league each week, one obtained a prize for, if you'd like to run one yourself let me know and I'll gladly give you all the details I have on how to run it. Well done I will send you a medal. Just stop saying you are fed up and will leave at every opportunity and just carry on supporting the rollercoaster ride that is SRLFC. As has been said we won for once so let’s be happy and not get into stupid arguments

I’d keep Wood there - at the very least lets see how he does next week. IMO the team looked better when he came on and Lui in particular seemed to have more of a platform to attack.

I have had a season ticket for over sixty years.I will watch us where ever we are.You do the league because you like to do it.Yes we are in a bad way but spare a thought for Widnes they were dire.

It's good to see people like MR putting in extra money to help the club, but let's not turn it into some sort of 'top red' competition. If we're going to make it work properly it should be about a collective effort whether people can put in £1 or £100.
As for the game, a decent effort overall. Widnes tired in the second half and we took control. Good to see.

I use Uber all the time.... gonna have a pop at me as well?😉😂 As for last night it was a strange game. Credit to the lads for coming through but we won on heart more than skill as Widnes are a dreadful team. Both of us are 4 or 5 (minimum) first teamers down at the minute and you could see how much Widnes missed the likes of Hanbury & Marsh as they had very little attacking threat. Couple of things I heard last night which I was surprised about.... 1) Josh Jones was dropped? Tbh I wasn't even aware he was fit but was told he played at Hull and had a shocker! We need him back and firing as he's one of our main strike weapons. 2) MCB isn't coming until next season. I was of the opinion that he was heading over after the England Knights game so what's changed there then?

I believe he's still coming barring any injuries to Wakefield players after the Knights game in Denver. I think that's the caveat.

And your saying I want a argument😳 I cannot obviously match your level of support. I do a lot of things but dont feel the need to tell everyone. Let it lie there are a lot more important things to worry about.

There was footage on the big screen just before we came out of a big group huddle and there was kind of a new togetherness vibe about the whole thing, not a team of strangers as we've seen over the last few games. Do think with a few tweaks to his positional game JLJ could be a fine option at FB, we again though could end up with the Evalds V GOB type situation where both merit inclusion, the difference is JLJ seems to have little to offer in the halves. After Widnes scored first through what was a good kick but bad luck to palm the ball into a Widnes hand I heard Junior being incredibly vocal for just about the first time, someone like him, Koppy, Lui and Flash have to be the on field rocks for the less experienced players if we are going to beat the terrible position we find ourselves in. The pack last night seemed to have taken an angry pill and got their desire back, that said there is still a huge over reliance of dropping the ball back inside to a runner. With Shorrocks now seemingly finished with a broken jaw we could really do with Brinning coming back freeing Woods up to play in the halves. A negative was Tasi and his tackling technique, if he was on any other team we'd have all been screaming for him to be given the chair, it's alright trying to make every tackle count but what he is doing is straying up towards the head on every tackle and we will be lucky if he keeps it up if he doesn't get a ban for some very important games. A special mention to my new chunky (even though he clearly isn't) friend Greg Burke, has the looks of a type of cult player, we all loved Baynes and can't see why we as fans can't foster the same type of tongue in cheek love for him, the determination for his try reminded me trying to get to that last sausage roll in Gregs
