It is hard work It’s so frustrating. This team is never gonna be world beaters but you can see what they are capable of. The execution for Juniors 2 tries and Nial’s commitment and quick thinking for his try, the work rate, our defence was sound for 50-60 minutes. But we can’t maintain it and once the other team scores our heads go down. Could see it clear as anything last night how quickly their confidence went. And so many stupid penalties. I could t see what they were all for but to give away 3 penalties when we’ve got the ball and 5 or 6 in a row in the second half is unforgivable Although the score was close we were in control of the game at half time. I do wonder why Flanagan gets spelled we seem to drop intensity when he’s off and a 13 should be able to play all game. Some is individual decisions - Lannon running in when we had a 3 man overlap - but there are some structural things in defence that Watson needs to sort. And some tackiling technique. Too often even when we have 3 in the tackle we don’t get them to the floor or on their back and how many times do our forwards end up behind the pay the ball. Think there were 2 or 3 penalties last night from them just playing the ball into us. Bad technique. Koppy and Weller are worst for it but there are more Watson’s press conference is worth watching. Very honest and very accurate in my opinion.

I think it's exactly a year ago that I caught the away match at Warrington on my way back from work in South Wales. Great turn out, top performance, Todd Carney's best match for the club. 5 in a row? How things have changed in 12 months. If we sell many more players we risk not even getting a team of 17 on the pitch. It certainly teaches you resiliance, being a Salford fan. I won't give up on it, but it's hard work at the minute! What a game and performance that was at Warrington. Feels like a lifetime ago now sadly

I got the feeling coming away last night. That people didnt really care about press conferences. You can fool some of the people some of the time but can't fool some of the people all of the time. You can see what is happening with your own eyes.

What’s whether people care about press conferences got to do with anything? and who is being fooled? Watson didn’t say anything was good enough he talked about problems with team performances, problems with not enough money at the club, fans needing to do their bit and the need for everyone to pull together What in there do you not agree with?

Watson’s press conference must be listened to. It’s not about fooling anybody,he tells it like it is.

First of all I wasn't having ago.First thing first he his in charge team performance his he's responsibly Last night I think 2400 take 100 away for Huddersfield that's 2300 doing their bit.I am afraid of them 2300 the majority don't go on fans forums or anything else. They go on what they see or what they think or read if their is anything to read.I think all this coach speak in Super League is getting us all brain washed,IE not at the collision the edges the it up and the ruck isn't that something from kick and clap.If anybody turned up last night and payed at the gate they might not be back.A thought is their any desenters in the ranks IE they think this five drives and a kicks not working.Because their were rumours last season one or two not happy with the game plans.Remember a few of these guys have been around better coaches than Watson. But I certainly was not having ago.

One thing that really cost us last night was the pretty easy conversion that Lui missed in the first half. It should've been 12-12 going into the last 20 minutes of the game but we were two points behind and trying to chase the game and force passes and offloads that I don't think we would've been doing with the score at 12-12.
Also had a bit of bad luck with the kick through to Sau which looked like a try but ended up as a 20m restart for them and they then scored soon after.
The Hudds players certainly played to the inexperience of the ref and conned their way to a few penalties. Maybe we should've done the same.
Watson's press conference is spot on. Every Salford fan should watch it for a summary of where we are at as a club.

I always think Watson is pretty honest in his post match interviews. His frustration with the whole set up is clear and as he said, when your coaching staff are regularly having to participate in training sessions just to make the numbers up then that speaks volumes.

Said it before and I'll say it again we started to nose dive when Carney left for Hull KR last year, he was our impetus early in the set and we have never replaced him, we miss a fully fit JJ who I fear will be one of the crown jewels who will leave the club and show how much class he has elsewhere very soon.
