Bugger, was hoping for Sunday as I’m working on the Friday night. Oh well. Hopefully make it for the next round (fingers crossed we get there)

What utter ballcocks, 19:35 KO on a Friday.
It's like they don't want decent crowds.

Great draw, confident in going through with this draw which will help the coffers. How many ex players they got now? The less the better.

Well, anyone interested in this one...ive got a car load going and just wondered if anyone else was interested or should we be going for the win or be concentrating on top 8. I personally think we should be going for it....a win brings confidence and I`m quite sure that's something we need right now, not just for the players but fans alike. I went to Leigh last year and we got trounced 25 v 0 and certainly don't want a repeat of that. At home, and against us Leigh always seem to pull it out of the bag so if we want a win, we will have to work hard. Leigh have won I think 9 on the bounce so they`ll definitely be up for it. Anyone know if Lui is back fit and if so, should we risk him. Like I say I think we should, a cup run like last year does wonders for us fans, otherwise its the same old relegation dog fight. Come on u reds.

Agree with that - a win boosts confidence ahead of a few key games. Plus a home game next round brings in the pennies.
If the rest of the key players are back then I wouldn’t risk Lui personally. But if he’s fit and wants to play then why not - you can’t wrap players in cotton wool.
Looking forward to it and I’m bringing two non-fans so they better be good.

I would love nothing better than to see Salford at Wembley but priority is top 8. Who knows what plans the RFL have for the league structure so staying in the top group is imperative. No risks on key players. I will be there hoping for a win as usual

Decent squad for Friday. No Lui though.

Not a bad squad at all really, probably Olpherts and Murray to miss out. In with a good chance really and we need to make up for the last poor TV performance we've got a chance.
to digress to the league for a minute - with Brinning having his op now and confirmed as being 12 weeks away from a return and Lui to return who knows when, I think if we can hold on to a top 8 spot, then with Lui, Brinning and Josh Jones back for the 8's we should make a decent account of ourselves, barring any more injuries obviously.

Never thought I would say this as a Salford fan but I'm not that bothered about the cup this year. For me its imperative that we make the top 8, potentially for the whole survival of the club. Plus with our limited squad a few weeks off during future cup rounds will do us a favour.
I still hope we win though, just won't be too disappointed if we don't.

I know what people are saying about the top 8 but I really don't fancy watching us getting dumped out of the cup by a lower division side in front of the Sky cameras (again!)
I think getting to the semi final and experiencing such a huge day and the excitement of it all will make it a bitter pill to swallow this year if we get dumped out early.
