Why can't you just wallow in the afterglow of a thumping win? 30 of the points, as you point out, were scored without lui on the pitch. The big news is Salford battered a side that haven't been battered much by anyone and beat the league leaders last week. A cursory "Great win" doesn't really cut the mustard... Amazingly enough, I don't compose my posts for your benefit. I don't think I wrote anything wrong or terrible, or anything that takes away from a great victory. Lui is a concern, as when we face better opposition we rely on his creative spark for a large chunk of our go-forward. But seeing as we're in the age of 'only my opinion really matters' and 'You're only allowed to agree with me' attitudes, I'll re-write my post in a less offensive way, just for you...
'The big story tonight is us winning easily, especially considering we lost Lui early on. He wont be a massive loss for us as the squad players coming in are easily capable of replicating his performances. I mean, we just beat Wakey, who beat the league leaders last week! This must mean we're probably better than St Helens. Let's all wallow in that great victory and bring on next week.
Big-ups to the team for pulling that one out of the bag. Great result.'
Hopefully that cuts the mustard for you.

JJ a big loss, he’s been one of the stand out performers. Mind you, Griffin was outstanding in his place last night, a good shout for MOTM.
Watching the highlights back, I didn’t actually notice at the time how much of a part Littlejohn played in the tries. I’ll admit I haven’t had much faith in him but there was defiantly improvement there last night. Let’s hope he takes more of a commanding role now Lui is out. He definitely has the skills (you can see in the warm up) but just needs a bit of confidence. Would like to see Shorrocks given some game time as well.

Great win last night. Whatever you may think about Littlejohn you can deny he gives 100%.
And why is it that Wakefield have to be poor and last week the referee was terrible?

Couldn’t make last night but highlights looked like Littlejohn was involved in every try. I hold my hands up as I said he should be dropped, but fair play and long may it continue. That is why Watto is our coach and I am not

So it looks like Lui didn't play in the 2nd half. And we scored loads of tries. Maybe Littlejohn has something to offer. Next few games will be interesting. If Wakey can beat Saints, so can we.

Cheers love. As a former front rower (say middle and I'll be round putting a bat up your nightdress) I think Griffins try was the best, saw there was something on and hammered it onto a perfectly timed crash ball. Tell you what if that's the new JLJ it's Star Man who , looked very good and some nice kicks too. Maybe the Wood/JLJ halves combo could be the one, might have to find a different role for Lui. What I spotted from those (way to brief) highlights was that the passing through the hands was crisper but most importantly deeper, we last season were at our best when the ball went deeper through the hands allowing players to really attack the ball at pace.

From listening to Watto there, it seems safe to say there won’t be any more signings coming in so we’ll have to make do with what we have. If Watto manages to secure this squad in the top 8, he should be given coach of the year. He’s doing a fantastic job and you can see how much the players want to play for him.
