The big story tonight is not us winning easily, but how long will Lui be out for? Even though we won tonight without him, against better opposition he's a massive loss for us. Big-ups to the team for pulling that one out of the bag. Great result. Surprise surprise.....

Why can't you just wallow in the afterglow of a thumping win? 30 of the points, as you point out, were scored without lui on the pitch. The big news is Salford battered a side that haven't been battered much by anyone and beat the league leaders last week. A cursory "Great win" doesn't really cut the mustard...

That was an amazing match. 4 first team forwards out, Lui only able to play half a match. The defence phenomenal, Welham and Sau have learned how to defend off Gleason, brilliant.
This year is survival, so where are we? Half way thro the season and 10 points, 7th and we need 20 to stay in the top 8 via the RLs stupid relegation system where the 9th in Superleague can be relagated and the 4th in the Championship promoted.
So I'm ecstatic (except that we should have beaten the poor scousers at their place).
Get your mates down, they need the cash.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING. Every single player gave their all out there tonight, they play for each other and it’s great to see. Fantastic defence from start to finish.
The strength in depth we’ve got in the forwards is the best I can remember at Salford. Murray, Griffin, McCarthy all came in and made a case for staying in the team. And just how good is Flanagan? One of the most underrated players in Superleague.
We’re going to miss Lui but if we show that kind of spirit in defence we won’t go far wrong. Littlejohn not quite there yet but definitely improving (slowly)
Only negatives - we desperately need a kicker, can’t afford to keep missing if it’s a close game. Still think we are a scrum half/goal kicker away from being a very good team.

That was an incredible performance. Wakefield through so much at us in the first half. How many sets did we have to defend on our line? The defence in the first half was just outstanding I was worried that it would have taken too much out of us so to come out in the second half and to blow them off the field was an incredible effort. Especially to have done it without Lui and to lose Wood before the end too. Quite simply superb. Every single forward was brilliant. Ben, Burgess, Koppy were their usual impressive selves. Murray had his best game for us I thought. I can see why McCarthy got MoM but his partner Griffin was immense too and I think Tomkins and Flanagan were our best players. I think Flash is just absolute class. His passing is spot on and gives the halves that extra half second to do their thing and he was everywhere in defence and attack tonight. Littlejohn also had his best game in a red shirt and Bibby continues to improve. He made a lot of metres tonight. The whole team was immense and you can see the team spirit running through them all A very happy fan tonight

Couldn't go or find a link online to listen so made do with sporadic updates during the Wigan V Cas game and to say I couldn't quite believe it would be an understatement.
Brilliant.
Deeply concerned though just how long Lui will be out as can't see another attacking heartbeat in the team on a regular basis without him.

MR believe it or not Littlejohn made the link when Lui went off and Wood was great as well. We sadly now don't have a kicker but LJ tried that as well.
It will make or break LJ as he has to the senior half back now and take responsibility.
Get down there on Thurs mate.

After the game Lui was at the side limping with ice on his leg, someone asked him how his leg was, he said, I've not broken it so I should be back soon Thought Childs Had a decent game let the game flow apart from his usual pinkity thing at the PTBs
My only downer was the advertising hoardings, with their bright changing lights, they distract and make it difficult to see what's happening on the far side
Best I've seen us play this season

You could sense something different tonight from the minute Luke Burgess took the drive from the kick-off which put us on the front foot - we never let up from that point on. You could sense from the team huddle out on the pitch at the end of the game that maybe they will use this to finally believe in themselves and push on.
7th in the league......keep it up Reds.

Let’s hope he’s back soon though!

I think the leadership of Flanagan has a lot to do with our performance and when he's not there McCarthy steps up to the plate.
The team huddle was Flanagan getting the team together at the end. When he was subbed near the end of the first half he was wrecked, gave it all.
Did anyone see Sau and 3 other players, two from Wakey, praying on the field at the end of the match; wonderful?

Would have gone yesterday but got a dream fair all the way to Mildenhall in Suffolk and didn't get back till after midnight. I don't doubt JLJ will come good, I doubt we have the capacity to give him the right amount of time and space (fans getting on his back) to get there. I think Wood and JLJ will go alright, would rather it was perm one from those two and Lui but if he's crocked rest him for the next (less likely wins) so he's good for the decent run of very winnable games afterwards. Oh yeah and the run all the way to Wembley

Fantastic team performance, really enjoyed watching us play last night. I had VIP tickets and managed to actually see the Deviltalk interchange boards for the first time!
