What will be will be, don’t give away silly penalties and gift them a lead like we did against cas and I think we will have a great chance, morale will be high after fridays game

This is one of the games we have to be winning.

This time last week I would have said we’d get smashed but after that performance against hull I think we’ll come out on top. Watto said Olpherts will be in the team too, looking forward to seeing how he goes. Should be a cracker. Reds by 16+

Really looking forward to seeing how Olpherts performs on his debut. He looked really decent in pre-season. Hopefully he can back it up when it counts.

Will be good to see how Olpherts goes. Was impressed with him in pre season and think Watson has done right not to throw him in too soon. Up to him now to take his chance and us fans to give him time if he doesn’t do to well or not get over excited if he does!! Will be interesting to see if he plays centre or winger and presumably Bibby will be his partner on that side The game is a tough game to call. I think we rightly see it as one we should be winning if we want top half finish. But Widnes would be right to think the same. On their day they are a good team and they move it wide a lot. Our forwards should dominate theirs but we could tire if were chasing the ball and we know we can be a bit suspect out wide. They will target Olpherts on debut and Johnson. If we do control the middle and tire them out we will make chances out wide as the game goes on. I think a victory for us will depend on how well our back row forwards and centres defend to keep the pressure off the half backs and wingers and keep us in the game til our forwards have got on top

Think this is an eminently winnable game, last week should have done us the world of good and a week has gone by without any negative press.
Do get the oddest feeling that KR or Cats will cause an upset (not risking it on the ESPL though) so losing could create a worrying early season gap.
We must steamroller them as we did last week, get big Ben running wide and hard.. Think we've got 2 pretty quick wingers for once, I'd (just until Welham is fit again) put JJ back in the centres with Olphert outside him with Junior and Johnson on the other side, pace and power there. Just think the Olphert and Bibby would be a step to far to soon for them both.

Definitely a winnable game this if we play anything like we're capable of. This is the sort of game we need to be winning if we want to finish in the top 8, or higher. Likewise, I'm sure Widnes will fancy their chances as well. Should be a decent game!

How on earth we lost that game, all over them in first half, and then oh yeah I know why, penalties and ill discipline, and why oh why when we have them for the taking do we go for the 2, just go for the try rather lose trying then going for 2 all time, proved costly

Feels like a proper mugging tonight. Is it me or is Ben Thaler getting more fussy by the week. Really rate him but picky tonight.

Is it time we started to talk about Watson?
Two wins in nineteen is not the record of a coach who wants to plan for the future.

I’m actually in disbelief that we’ve just lost that game.

Garbage, total and utter garbage.
More impotent that a bus full of Viagra patients.
Think the sum total of our attacking options is to give Junior the ball and see if he can so something, though it might of been harsh to bin him Tasi needs to look at his technique as it's pretty borderline to often.
I'll make a prediction, lose Friday against a team as dire as Catalan and Watson will be gone, harsh but think that is what will happen.

5 drives and a kick rugby. 3 kicks taken when near the line as well. Percentage rugby at its worst. Out of the backs only Sau Lui and Evalds come out of that with any credit. Was Littlejohn actually playing? We are better than that and if Watson perseveres with those tactics then bottom of the league beckons. Completion rate in the 90% easy when you do fook all with the ball. New faces needed desperately to liven up a static back line.
