No Brinning again? Olpherts?? Does anyone know what's up with Brinning? He seems to be injured quite a lot. It's a shame Olpherts isn't being considered as he looked decent in pre season. Glad to have Flash back in the squad. We always seem to perform better when he's in the lineup.

Bit worrying if he's not injured.

Think the betting would be him mysteriously getting over his slight booboo and playing.
If he doesn't we have a much better chance of winning, get Liu & JLJ teamed up and our big guys running at there 2 young inexperienced halves.

Brinning has a neck injury. If it's serious, I can see that being a career ending injury.

Very worrying about Brining. Easily one of our best players and destined for big things but this injury sounds like a real problem.
Re Maguire: if he doesn’t play, we win. If he plays, I’m not so sure. Like a few have already said, I think it might be a bit of mind games from Sheens and Maguire will be in the team on Friday.

The Hull Daily Fail ran an interview with Sheens last night. Supposedly, McGuire was injured against Leeds and it was made worse against Catalans. He has (reportedly) a rib injury and will be stood down for 2/3 games.

Come on Salford!

I think I'd bring Johnson back in, hopefully he has learnt his lesson and will be wanting to put in a big performance after being dropped last week.
I think we'll go with
O'Brien Johnson Welham Sa'u Evalds Lui Littlejohn Tasi Wood Mossop Jones Hauraki Flanagan
Tomkins Kopczak Burgess McCarthy

A newly trimmed down JJ would surely be better in the 3/4's than Welham, bring in Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi on the same side as Carney and let them pummel each other until Carney is nullified.
I'd also look at having GOB at full back and Liu & JLJ in the halves. Might as well go for the most destructive team we have as I can see this (already) being a season defining game, loose and I reckon we can look at trips to Toronto, Toulouse and Leigh in the middle 8's.

Personally I’d start with McCarthy especially as the first twenty minutes at least will be an arm wrestle. Looking forward to the game anyway.
