that kick out on the full did nothing to help From the start. littlejohn was steady if unspectacular but I can't help but feel we need him to step up quicker, however its a big ask to learn all our plays. We gave away way to many penalties again better sides we'd be punished but fortunately so did they. look its 2 points, the bridge is open and the pre match entertainment was alright!!!

Apparently Sa’u has been ill in the week. He was close to puking for a while before he did. He was immense tonight. Again! Showed his class. Puked. Carried on looking for the ball and tackling and still the first to go and thank the fans
Dixon - I agree we can only beat what’s in front oif us and we did. Thankfullly foir every mistake we made and penalty we gave away, they made 2. Thought Littlejohn was a bit hit and miss. He got better as the game went on. his kicking game wasn’t as good as against Wakefield but he’s still new and it often takes a while for half backs to settle in. I agree about Flanagan. I thought Hauraki was very impressive again. He seems to have stepped up a couple of gears this season. Jones and Mccarthy also impressive - our back row definitely stood up tonight

Had to bloody work so missed the game but some of the tries looked great, some nice movement of the ball. Did Josh Wood play well? Made a great break for the Lui try by the looks of it. And how well did Evalds do to get that ball down?? Brilliant stuff.
A badly needed win, good to get off the mark with some tough fixtures round the corner

I was pretty shocked how poor they looked, seriously thought that someone of Sheens calibre would have some sort of game plan but they looked like they had all just met before the game and didn't know what on earth was going on. Can't for the life of me see why they have someone like Carney on the wing but studiously keep the ball as far away from him as possible.
If we can play like that through the season then I'm not quite as worried, think 1 - 17 we showed guts and no little skill, Junior had a massive game and lost count of the number bell ringers he put in (no wonder he spewed his ring at the end).
Kudos to Watson, went up against one of the best in Sheens and ultimately had a much better game plan.

We were good, HKR we’re toss. Don’t think anyone had a bad game. MOM could have been between Junior, o’brian, Mossop, TMs,jj and weller. Pack bossed it tbh.
We ran over them but didn’t look to fluid at pace sometimes.
Think jury is still out on Littlejohn, he can defend and when he runs at pace at first receiver he looks good. However he needs more confidence to take hold of the situation. His current bedding in mean we are overly reliant on O’Brian which means all a good team has to do is aim and hit O’Brien hard.
Thought Welham stood up and had a good game, but hkr were seriously bad and have mega problems. They need a half back as only looked semi dangerous with Lunt on.
Next 3 games are tough so if we can get anything will be big!
