Problem is simple. If the US gets RL going then they'll just buy all the best players from the UK as they'll have big investment and crowds probably around 20-30,000 a match. Just like they have with football?

There is just a tad more money in football than in RL (apparently one match City v United costs about 2.5 x our annual spend).

But if football was successful in us surely they would have the scale to have financial backing from their own tv to dwarf premier league? Point being even with the global pull of football it hasn’t made it to that level in us what chance rl? Personally I would like to see a successful rl league in North America/ Canada, league in France, Italy, anywhere really, I’d love to see a successful global sport. I just don’t see it happening. I don’t want to see clubs from these countries in our league either, I don’t see how that helps the sport.

"It was an entertaining game and it is believed that Wigan and Hull will take home around £500k each. Fair play to them, that is what you call innovation."
If SRD come home with anything like that kind of figure we can be in the transfer market immediately. If we do get a team in New York and one somewhere else as suggested RL becomes a different proposition for attracting athletes and players to the game. This needs to be part of any argument over this issue. Taking RL out of its M62 limits and on to the international stage is a key point for winning hearts and minds on a sporting landscape that ignores a sport with 2 million tickets sold for events. This is something that needs addressing if we are to stop even youngsters leaving the game to join ru because it offers a world by comparison. Now, personally, I suspect this might make RL impossible to ignore except in the UK press which is based in London and shows its limitations because of that every day it prints or broadcasts.

I would like to see all the accounts for this trip down under.
See who has paid for what???
Not just rumour mill working overtime.
And what profit has been made by each club, if any. But i doubt that is ever going to happen, all we are going to get from the RFL that it was promoting the game of rugby league in AUSSIE. Which of course they need because the NRL is the worst supported sport in the country, NOT.
And now there is talk of a team from Perth joining the super league, as there are direct flights to London. So that is another English team out of our Super League,
Like you say RUSS they are struggling for the round ball game to take hold in the States, to be honest our sport will not stand a chance of forming a league out there, they might be able to put a team together like toronto have taking 30 plus players from super league and rubbish players from the NRL, leaving us short of even more players.
But aslong money talks the RFL are happy, that is why they were happy with Marwan to start with, because they thought he was going to plough money into there coffers, but they found out Marwan had a loud voice and what he said a lot of it made sense about the RFL, AND THEY DIDNT LIKE IT, SO MADE IT AS HARD AS POSS FOR HIM. To run a club,
We will get no more press coverage in the uk than normal, 2/3 lines each week if we are lucky to fill a gap they could not fill with a advert.
What i want to see is the RFL promote our game in the heartlands of our sport, put all the money they are spending on these daft ideas, into grass root rugby league, give the kids the chance to learn our great game like they do in Aussie. They put more money into grass roots rugby in Aus than we put into Super league. that is where we are going wrong.

And I really don't believe that the Future of RL Is people suddenly wanting to watch Teams in there own Area.
