wonder where Ben unpronounceable is? very interested to see how Evalds, JLJ, Lui and GOB can all be squeezed in, put Evalds on the wing and Wigan will have a field day.

wonder where Ben unpronounceable is? At the Swinton friendly there was a bloke sat behind me who thought it was hilarious to call him "Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi". After the 5th time of saying it, I almost launched my pint at him. |

No Olpherts, Nzongou, Nakubuwai or Brinning. Anyone else missing? Would have thought Olpherts was a ready made MV replacement and Nakubuwai was going to be a straight swap for MBM. Can see Evalds going to the wing and GOB starting at fullback and Wigan throwing everything at Evalds, Brining looks more and more to be made of Digestives, just hope he gets and stays fit for most of the season. |

Bit disappointed to not see Olpherts in there. Evalds shouldn’t be on the wing and I’m not convinced by Bibby. There’s not much flare or pace in our backs compared to Wigan’s. Let’s hope the forwards can get us on the front foot. Come on Salford we can do this!

Let's hope it's a forwards battle, weather is supposed to be fine and dry which isn't really going to play in to our hands.
Looking at our backs it doesn't half fill me with dread, gonna be a long old season I am afraid.

Looks like he’s going as close as he can to last years starting line up.
I agree that he can’t start with Evalds on the wing,has to be Bibby.
Wouldn’t be the biggest surprise if Littlejohn missed out. I really hope he plays

If that's the line up re the backs as JJR has them lined up then I am in agreement with the majority that our back line is more fragile than ever. I don't personally rate Bibby and he will be targeted just as much as if Evalds was on the wing so I am at a loss as who to place there too be honest. The pack will be able to hold there own however as the home game against Leeds towards the back end of last season highlighted, we are very slow in the backs and our defence is not the best. I hope I`m wrong but Wigan have pace and if Tomkins is at full back then he will rip us apart and have his backs and wingers with extra yards up against Welham/Bibby etc
Hope I`m wrong but unfortunately it doesn't look good either on paper or reality.

Unfortunately I can’t disagree with any of this. Bibby is a squad player for me, I don’t really see what he offers. More than happy to hold my hands up if he proves me wrong this season but I’ve not seen anything from him that excites me yet. The lack of pace in the backs in general is shocking, even with Manu in the team. I’ll be right behind the boys but this will be a very tough game. |

Anyway, would not be surprised if the seventeen on Friday includes one or two not originally named in the nineteen. Watto has form on that front |
