Not sure what you want me to write, russ. Salford is a side that has won five from eight, beaten Saints away and thrown the win away against the champions. They are also the same team who let Cas have their first win and looked very unconvincing against a poor London. I don't think there's a more schizophrenic side than Salford, and the bookies must hate us. Of course I don't want you to write anything as that bit was just a joke.
Of course SRD hav done well in this early part of the season but given their latest woeful form that shows little signs of improving the wheel have fallen off.
That leaves some fans looking for answers and where the blame lies.
The points about London's quality mean a look at ours as well and that would not be SL standard and may even find the Championship a bit rough.
What's that phrase coaches use ? You're only as good as your last game ......... ! Well, we've had two last games where we were: poor, dour (for the most part), laboured for the whole and entirely lacking. Sadly, no amount of winning at saints for first time in a couple of centuries can hide all that.

" ..... mid championship ......" ? " ...not sl standard ...."? So what exactly does that make SRD Then? With respect to London, they are way off, on that performance today, SL standard. Us today, were scraping the bottom of the barrel and won by default really. We defended well for the most part, but London did a Salford whenever they got into decent positions and fluffed chances. The fact that 12 man Salford having an off day still won easily, albeit not point wise, says it all about London. I feel for them and think a strong London would be a massive boon for SL but having them in this year to make the numbers up isn't going to do SL or London any good. For London or anywhere else to be a success you need huge resources because the sport has a devil take the hindmost for all development and this just looks like continuing at best under IMG.
SRD's performance was the writing on the wall and all you have to do is read it. It does illustrate the fact that having good players doesn't mean you're going to or are able to play well. Dreading what the Wolves will do!
All in all if the Broncos are amateur standard that would make us ......................... ( fill in as applicable )

I'm sure I remember SRD fans being a bit more forgiving than this!
Maybe winning a few makes you think you deserve more. Let's not tell them, eh?

I think SRD may have shot their bolt this time around as nothing about them looks right.

I think the clear result of the Cas game and possibly a bit of rumour are there for us all to see.
The trouble with games like these is they can determine so much of your season from then on.

But this is always worrying "JC: I think the Cup weekend break will have been welcomed by Mike Eccles and his London Broncos as a chance to pause and reset for the next run of games. The effort and attitude of the Broncos this year has to be commended, but Salford’s attack has looked as potent as ever despite the big losses to their personnel this year. Form predicts a heavy scoreline in Salford’s favour. Jodie’s pick: Salford by 48 DD: Both teams had a week off last week due to the Challenge Cup quarter-finals taking place, which will give both teams a chance to refresh and regroup with a quarter of the Super League season having already been played. Salford will want to make amends for their shock defeat at Castleford last time out, so I’m expecting a big response from Paul Rowley’s men. Drew’s pick: Salford by 28" We can all wait for the Bronco's first win of the season if all the pundits think we're on a easy win! We struggle going in to games as favourites. Hopefully a couple of early tries will settle the game down (didn’t help at Cas though) Exactly.
I watched Leeds v Hudds and I thought I'm not sure SRD could take either of these sides as well.

From Total forum which I noticed only because of a story title on the news bit Is RL media dead?
The posts were intesresting because they brought much of the same things as we've posted on here. Misgivings about the state of journalism is a general thing but in RL it's all we've got which makes us a disattisfied captive audience. Someone did point out is that LoveRL has shown recent signs of improvement which is true. Given that RL is served more or less completely away from main stream coverage and outlets, online efforts have become the central means of news. It's a way round RL's glass ceiling while we wait for IMG to give us a wider footprint.

It seemed to me that more or less everyone fell off tackles in The Cas game, and I don't know why you'd single anyone out in that truly poor performance. Russ to WRD point Brierley missed 3 tackles as last man, that is not good enough and needs to be better. Innes Senior ran riot that game, hopefully this has been addressed. You're quite correct about Brierley's 3 tackles but alot of FB's put under so much pressure by their team's awful first line defence would be grateful to come away with only 3, TBF!
