I don't know which item on here amazes me the most : the acceptance of imbalanced penalty counts, a loss because of an incorrect decision or the fact that a discussion nearly broke out!
We do have a competitive side which is something we've always longed for above, more or less, anything else but maybe now we have one we've become dissatisfied already.

"And they called him the cockeyed optimist!"
I've come down against the six again rule because it simply provides a dominant side with more opportunity to dominate, and means the risk/reward Saints/Panthers game is rewarded as the odds are imbalanced.
Aye! Six again is the modern version of the quick ptb and dummy-half scoot, so popular with Saints and Cunningham. We change things to suit the same old teams. Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose. Yeah, all a bit like the real translation of modernisation as job losses, less service and even huger profits.

It's called 'marketing'. Guess what? It works. However, it needs a lot of money, or 'investment' as it is called in this context. (I know that that is one thing we don't have much of.) đ¤Śââď¸ Anyhow my one wish today is no stupid decisions around the bench. "And they called him the cockeyed optimist!"

Somethings brewing expecting a big crowd tomorrow over 6,000 tickets sold. Itâs the JJR and Derek factor bringing them in. I think this is more to do with winning and not being trounced week in week out as in the past.
The marketing is what you get as icing on the cake that does up the ante some.

Although Aussie stars down on their luck/confidence are great to see and watch recover it will always come with the caveat they may want to return home. Keeping them for any truly lengthy period is also unlikely.

Is anyone else bored with playing Leigh? Iâd play them every week as long as we keep on beating them. It's nice you have such a high boredom threshold, while I was just thinking Leigh and Wakey are like buses there'll be another one along any minute now.

Over 1700 Leigh fans will be there Not surprising as they're on a real high at the moment.
And it's like the bit in "The First Kangaroos" where Giltinan is asked why He's angry and he say's " Because there aren't enough of the barstuards!"
A man/character who understands the nature of dosh.

I think it might be as well if we ignore poor journalism looking for a home.

Agent rubbing his hands together and RL journalists desperate for a story with any kind of legs.
I'm sure Brodie could be tempted back to the NRL though I'd hope he'd end up somwhere a bit better than Wests, sorry to any West fans who read this.

If you read what was actually said the link seems as tenuous as it gets.

I saw the report on this and I don't remember any mention of the money offered, only the Sky offer was mentioned, 25 million/year which is a real insult at best.
I think Sky may be in decline as a broadcaster.
I had to check who TNT were and if they're offering more it'll be a straight swap from SKY sport to TNT.
I think RL's viewing figures have always been ignored and dismissed when they're really good on the whole.
Of course the IMG cut will have to come into the profit margins and costs at some point.

You say our forwards lack quality, what makes you think that clubs are willing to let players go that are better than those we currently have at the club? What forwards have recently been loaned out that would suit our style of play and would get into our match day squad? You say playing Costello in lieu of sidlow may have cost us the game, how do you work that out? How do you know sidlow isnât carrying an injury? That could explain why he was only 18th man. Could it have possibly been that one of the back line was carrying a unity meaning they may not have been able to make it though the game? We know some of our forwards have the ability to play long minutes An unused sub in the modern game is a missed opportunity and itâs odd when you consider Leeds 3 forwards on the bench to our two. Results speak for themselves we need more go forward up the middle if you take King and Tyler out its very limited. Watkins is a huge miss at 2nd Row, weâve lots of small forwards and have lack of go forward. We need an explosive impact player. Are any of these available on loan or anything else?

Great performance last week, but really losing interest after the reffing display. In a contest one wins one loses (drawđ) but that wasnât a fair contestâŚso whatâs the point in watching? All we all want is a fair good match with both teams being allowed to do their best. I don't think refs are even a bit suspect/bias. I do think there is a mindset at work throughout the game that must include refs. One of the clearest examples of this was the pundits in the Saints' Sky coverage, Saints had a 6-1 penalty rate against and not one of the commentators used the word discipline. And yet there are clubs where that word ends up in every third sentence of commentary with much lower figures and even at times from the first penalty.
