A lot of people who went last night or watched on TV,have added a piece to the puzzle, some have talked about the size of the squad or injuries or other things But who actually thinks those on view last night should have done better.

I don't know who the usual folk are,but that performance was not acceptable I will let others mull over team selections but that lot tonight was out thought and then out fought.

And players like Kenny Gill and Paul Shaw were fair game for late hits to the head. Those players doing the hitting would be driven out of the game now. That's the my point they certainly would be able to play in today's game

I think the drop of is probably physical. I think its really noticeable that big props and nippy players in the opposition come to the fore when we have struggled at the end of the game. It's that lack of a couple of big props that is the possible missing ingredient. We are basically running ourselves into the ground. Then a big guy comes on and it's a physical challenge late on. I say this most weeks. The physicality late in games takes a toll. But that’s the downfall of a small group. Whilst small though, it’s a great set we’ve got IMO. A coach and group we can be proud of and let’s see where we end up. Yes I take on board about the squad size and with the resources at hand we do really well, but I am not taking that as an excuse for the last twenty minutes last Friday If we could go back and put Kenny Gill at stand off having given him six months to get fit he would be playing this game in his carpet slippers are but people will be saying it's harder now,I am not having that I was talking a while back with someone who played at the highest level in the sixties and seventies I said to him well people say the game is harder now,he started laughing.

So we move onto Leigh away, despite the hype Leigh are poor and vulnerable to pace out wide as exploited by Cas yesterday. No doubt Sky will again be up the backside of Leigh and Derek and have a narrative that luck rather than application has got us sitting join top. I do not think this Leigh side is all that personally. Anyhow we move into next week with King/Hellewell/Nofa possibly coming in but with doubts on Mellor and Shorrocks. The Mellor injury is interesting as Bourouh will not be back until Wigan so we are a hooker light. It is likely Cust will go to 9 but we have limited options as backup. Personally I'd shift Brierley to 6, put Cust in at 9 and put Atkin on the bench. Ryan can cover full back with ease then Hankinson or Nofa on the wing. Morgan is not a 9, he needs to play half back if he is used at SL level. Rowley has some decisions to make. I think if we serve up the last twenty minutes like at Huddersfield where we played our get out jail free card I wouldn't back us at Leigh with your money And furthermore that last twenty minutes wasn't on Rowley it was squarely on the players If they were going to ease up they should have made sure they had more points on the board People go about Brierleys defending at he's age he his not getting any better then people say we don't defend out wide If Rowley's is telling them to defend like that he should go.But I don't think he is. .

He’s probably lacking in confidence and also not used to the playing group he should have had the ball more but few players having ago themselves which you can’t blame them Morgan had a great game seemed to control it as well Got a few forwards who seem to be abit of a hand full which is good Just hope we can give some of them players a chance you never know how players turn out of they don’t get a chance Also the website needs updating with players and some better info like which positions and DOB and a bio about the players other than just pics and names Surely an N R L player shouldn't need an introduction

In boxing it would have been saved by the bell or we nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. But at the end of the day we got two points that's all that matters so they say.

I’ve watched the game back on sky and it was mentioned that former chairman John Wilkinson was at the game yesterday and sadly nothing mentioned on social media .. did anything happen at the game relating to mr chairman I remember hearing that they had a box this season so should imagine that he comes to most of our games I was talking to him towards the end of last season,he said had started to attend games again. If I remember rightly he stopped coming when Marwen was running the show. Like everyone who had run the club before he took over he didn't get everything right, but he certainly deserves a place in the clubs history just my option.

Part of our problem I think is lack of speed at half back; in fact throughout the team, apart from Brierley Id stick with Ryan for a bit…we need some stability at the moment…missing Burgess…burning it up at KR I don’t think Burgess or Sio were that quick, Nofa is supposed to be quick as is Ryan and Cross has speed. The problem seems to be in support bar Brierley. Cust was better at backing up for Wigan. I don't really get involved when the discussion starts him or him but if I had to have put money on someone going the length of the pitch for me,it would have been Burgess.I know he had to go but he has not been replaced in my opinion. So far the Aussie has been a big disappointment.

Sky reported it, i think on Friday, so there was probably an approach to Rowley earlier, he probably gave them the time of day and list3ned…..but you can’t blame anybody for listening before giving their decision JJR He might have listened but it was with a deaf ear he was going no where, this time.
