Remember, also, that this is about who plays centre, as much as who plays full back For me if Morgan Escare doesn't play then Ken Sio must be the option. I remember him playing Full back for an extended period for Hull KR really well. We can keep Sarge in his normal Centre spot where he's at his best and play Krisnan Inu on the wing without weakening the wingers. I know Krisnam isn't as fast as Ken Sio but he takes some stopping near the line. It also gives us a stronger goal kicker.

As Camster mentioned, and anyone who has done any statistics knows, if you have extreme outliers in a dataset it can be skewed one way or another. Ignoring the top and bottom 10% would give you a much better indication. Salford have Kevin Brown and Krisnan at the top end of the scale still playing, whereas Saints, Wigan and Hull have lost James Graham, Sean O'Loughlin and Gaz Ellis respectively. Ignoring the top and bottom two players would give a far better indication of the average age of the playing squad. It would also be a lot closer.

Just been watching and there was an article about a guy called Robert aged 83 who's been helping some of the older folk in the region with shopping etc during the pandemic. A large mobile billboard had been arranged to thank him for all his efforts. He was interviewed in his Salford Reds top and he got quite emotional. They then interviewed his daughter who said that she'd not seen him this emotional since the "Million Pound Game". It certainly took me back

Also didn't realise we had, what seemed, two perfectly good tries disallowed for dubious forward passes given by the same linesman. Immense achievement. JJR we had to give the underdogs a fighting chance. How else would they have beaten us with only 15 internationals in the team?

Lucky to have been at both. Difficult to choose between the two. Me too. I thought the Semi final in 2019 was something else. A great performance in front of the best Salford away crowd I've ever seen in 45 years of watching. A really special day. What sways me in favour of the 96 game though is the result was so unexpected. The gulf in class between the two teams was massive with Wigan having the best team in the land. I think we were in the second division at the time and not forgetting that Wigan hadn't been beaten in the cup for about 9 years. It's a great feeling just thinking about it.

Another good article about Elijah Taylor on the BBC Web Site. He sounds a very educated and articulate person that has the right attitude to go well for us. He also appears to like the way Richard Marshall trains "Richard has been very authentic and thorough in the way we train and the way we go about our business, very 'attention to detail'.Elijah Taylor: Salford's 2021 signing on how faith helped him cope with betrayal

Just noticed this on Prime TV... "We play League" "A behind the scenes look at the 2019 Super league season as new stars arrive, legends of the game embark on their final campaign and one side emerges from the pack to threaten the biggest shock in Super League history" I wonder who that may be? Four part documentary. Get on it fellas and lasses. Thanks for letting us know Camster I'll certainly be watching it

McCarthy states his future at Salford has come to an end. Great servant to the Club just probably getting to that stage where he's a bit off the pace. Be good for Leigh or a top Championship club as a leader. Tyrone was very good for us and hopefully he'll get a contract playing again this year. I think the change of emphasis at Salford this year, with longer term contracts aimed at improving the stability within the team has possibly gone against him due to his age. I also heard he was one of the last big contracts from the Doc's reign so it may have simply come down to value for money.

Huddersfield have lost Ashton Golding for the start of the season so this move makes sense as cover

Deffo have Pauli playing. I think full back will be the spot that causes Marshall to think. One assumes Escare was a Watson signing, we have a some quality wingers to choose from and Joe Burgess can cover at FB. Given Escare has not played for a season I would be surprise if he starts, Costello also can cover FB. Plenty to consider, depends what the coach wants. I think the obvious choice at fullback to rival Escare is Ken Sio. Whilst at Hull KR he spent a lot of his time in the fullback role and excelled at it too. As we appear to have a lot of options for wing positions it also gives us more balanced options

Good interview with Elijah Taylor on RDTV now. Looks like he's keen to renew acquaintances with Sebastine & Krisnan again . If he plays anything like he's done in the NRL I think he'll go really well for us

This is a perfect fit for us because Dec Patton will probably be competing for a starting place at either 7 or 9. It also gives us the cover if Kevin Brown gets injured. The only thing that concerns is the "Short Term Deal" which implies it's probably only for one year. This seems to be going against the overall plan for long term consistency. I suppose this could be due to the way contracts are structured nowadays or a hesitancy on Dec Pattons part. Despite that it gives us a high calibre well balanced squad for this coming season.

I thought when Toronto pulled out last year, the RFL said that the Toronto contracted players were exempt so that they could be taken on by other clubs. I don't know if that exemption extends to this season but Darcy Lussick may fall into this category.
Anything involving the Rugby League falls into a grey area so this may not be the case.
