How do you think we will do against Wakefield this Friday?
The run they have been on has been immense and they have looked strong since Chris Chester took over as coach.
Hopefully we can burst their bubble, but confidence at Wakey must be sky high right now.

Everything must come to an end one day, why not this week.
I'd like to see us revert to the way we started the season, going for broke from the KO, try and get an early roll on and shatter their confidence, if we win the KO go for a short one, if they win it go wide from the off and get Carney/Vidot running at them straight away.
We need to get BMM running from deep onto the ball more, he has the ability to skittle defenders for fun and I'd possibly look at putting Jones inside Vidot, that 3/4 line would be unstoppable if we played the right game plan.

Looks like Carney will be banned. Evalds on the wing?

Our lads want to make the AJ Bell our fortress, so I can see a big effort this Friday. I think we can beat them, but we'll need to be at our best to do so. Go in with a sloppy attitude and Wakey will punish us. Got the makings of a great match. Could go either way, but I'm hoping that home advantage will see us through. Carney will be a big loss though.

Evalds on the wing isn't a bad replacement, got a hat full of tries without being a regular starter, give Vidot the Carney role of hitting the ball up like a fast battering ram but for me key is if Evalds does play on the wing don't play Bibby, those two together would be targeted all night long and could well be a very weak link.
GOB, Vidot, Sa'u, Jones, Evalds if the starting back line if Carney does get the inevitable 10,000 game ban for farting in front of the ref.

It's going to be tough without Carney. We're obviously not a one man team, but given our weakness in the pack the metres he makes are invaluable.
We need to fix our defence on the left edge, Dobson and Bibby were exposed far too often last weekend. I'm dreading seeing the Wakefield big men run at him, Simon, Arona, England, Scruton etc will definitely be told to target him.
Hopefully Dobbo and Lui can control the game again as they did in the second half vs Widnes. BJB the weakness for me, hopefully we target him with the high balls and don't kick to young Johnston too much.
Discipline will be huge. There was a stark improvement during the second half in Newcastle, hopefully it is something they have worked on again.
I'm dreading turning up on Friday and seeing Phil Josephs name on the team sheet. I cant for the life of me understand what is going through Watto's head, we always look a far worse team with him on the pitch especially at 9.
Should be a good game though. Wakefield riding high and will probably bring their biggest crowd ever with them.

I agree jgr - BJB has to be the focus of our kicking game. I used to dread watching him under the high ball when he played for us. Then again, Carney seems to have been targeted this season and although we will miss his attacking prowess, I'll feel much more at ease with Evalds potentially plucking the ball from the air in that corner.

I expect a close game, I hope it doesn't come down to drop goals after seeing Miller's fantastic effort against Catalan. All I ask is that we turn up and give it our all.

Joseph's in the 19 again, I must be missing something as just don't see what he brings to the party, no zip from the PTB ball and doesn't see to have the same barn storming effect he did when he played us for Widnes.

Score predictions for tonight?
I'm going to say a close victory to Salford. Home advantage being the key. So Salford by 6.

For me one of two scenarios.
Big thumping win where we lay down a marker or narrow loss that kind of sums up the season.
Got to go all out from the first minute, do our level best to shatter the undoubted Wakefield confidence, they have some young (very good but young) players who we should be heaping pressure on and as said elsewhere every opportunity launch high balls at BJB, cracking player but couldn't catch a cold in a flu ward.

I think you're being a tad harsh. Difficult to barn storm from acting half back as he did when he was the substitute running forward. When I've seen him,he's been fine. He's our 3rd hooker and only plays when we're stuck for numbers. I struggle to see how you can have 3 hookers and keep them all happy. He's a utility forward, not in the best 17, and he does fine,on that basis
