Good first half today, tackling was good and we looked dangerous going forward. Second half was pretty poor from both sides so not going to read too much into that but a couple of thoughts...
Lui/O’Brien looks like the stronger partnership, not sure if Littlejohn is fully fit but seems a bit off the pace. Still think he’s going to be good for us but we need to start really strong to get anything out of the Wigan game.
Really hope Brinning is back for the start of the season, we miss his pace and distribution from dummy half. I’d have him and Wood as interchange, I don’t think Tomkins adds anything. Happy to be proved wrong.
Decent following for a friendly on such a bitterly cold day. Let’s hope we can get a decent crowd for the opening game

Slightly concerned about Brining’s injury record. Never seems fit for 3 consecutive games. Tomkins is underrated. Anyway,my take on the Littlejohn situation is that, having weighed him up,he wants him to earn his place. If Littlejohn replaces GOB and Evalds remains at full back, who’s our goal kicker ?

Yeah it’s worrying, let’s hope he can stay fit once he’s back in. Tomkins is solid but we look a better team with Brining in it.
Littlejohn is also a goal kicker.

So is Olphaerts going to be a good signing? Not heard much of a report about him but came a close 2nd in the MOM.
With Brining think the club needs to try and bulk him up a little, obviously has all the potential in the world but isn't the most robust player we've had at 9, might lose a yard of pace but if that helps keep him injury free his other talents would more than make up for it.

I think Olpherts looks like a decent signing. Quick and strong. Would’ve had another try on Saturday but for a poor pass from Hauraki. He’s also played full back most of his career so gives us more cover there if needed. Excited to see him develop if he gets enough game time

I agree that Olpherts looks good. Looks to be quick and strong. Took the flick pass from Weller without blinking. Shame it was forward! Looking forward to seeing him develop
