Just been on Coventry Bears twitter, to get the score of their friendly with Leeds Rhinos last night, they show the highlights on their twitter.
Surely if a league one club can do this, you would think Salford as a Super League club could do it as well. Unless we have not got the expertise to do this ?

The club has been consistently awful in this area for its entire history. We are always late to the table when it comes to adopting modern media. The fact that anyone can practically do it on a very small budget, you would think that the club would jump at the chance at cheap exposure. Alas, this has not been the case. No Salford TV. Digital games downloadable and/or for rent - started then abandoned. Highlights of any quality or longer than thirty seconds take a week to go online. It took us up until two years ago just to get an online shop! Something that amateur clubs have had sorted for donkeys years. Web site poorly run and updated. Very few articles of interest. It's not difficult to do if the club try. Personally though, I think they just don't care enough to want to do it. This is my pet peeve with the club and I just think they'll never change.

Apologies to those who say I've said all this before but.
We have on our doorstep the BBC and a result the local higher education system has a heavy slant towards the media, as a club we should be working closely with students and offering them the chance to get involved in media duties with the club, game broadcasts, podcasts, marketing and other things.
There must be students in the city who like RL who would jump at the chance of getting involved in the sport with the view to employment when they have completed their studies.

Salford City FC have linked up perfectly with Salford Uni on the media content / highlights / website side of things. Very professional highlights made available very swiftly on the club website. I’d be willing to bet that they’d jump at the chance to include other sports and sports teams in their portfolio.

Put it on the Supporters web site, there's an area for things needing doing Club wont do anything. It's been parroted at them for decades and they do nothing. Low on the priorities type of excuse. It wont change because we've got a few new board members unfortunately...

The club has been consistently awful in this area for its entire history. We are always late to the table when it comes to adopting modern media. I think this is a little unfair. Salford were one of the first clubs to have a website in the 1990s. They have also had the expertise to deliver this kind of stuff throughout the years. The problem, which you have already alluded to, is that they have rarely stuck with any of the initiatives. Possibly because the back office is minuscule compared to other clubs, but certainly underspending on marketing and allocated resource.

I doubt it would take much effort or expense to put together some highlights of our games. The DITD lads do a great job of this, but they're doing it off their own back.

Possibly because the back office is minuscule compared to other clubs, but certainly underspending on marketing and allocated resource. I think most of the club's 'initiatives' are done by people off their own back with little help from the club. Which highlights my point. They have never spent any money on backroom staff and have for decades relied solely on peoples good nature to carry things through. That's simply not acceptable when you look at what the club has wasted money-wise on dud signings over the last twenty years. They seem incapable of playing the long game and building a firm structure to support what happens on the field. Is that poor management? Poor choices? Lack of investment? Probably all three. I'm being rough on the club at the moment as they need to drastically change what they do in almost every area outside of the pitch.

Here we go: youtu.be/8DPoGPN1TrAI think they’ve definitely upped their game on the social media front since the leadership change.

Here we go: youtu.be/8DPoGPN1TrAI think they’ve definitely upped their game on the social media front since the leadership change. They seem a little better, especially commentary-wise. However, there is no link to any of Salford's recent videos on their website, or if there is I certainly can't find it. Which highlights another point. They have probably just bunged it on social media, but if they have I have not seen the links and I follow them closely. Close but no cigar.

They have a You Tube channel. As far as I can see these are the first highlights they have done on it but hopefully will continue for the season.
Agree they should link all these things together a little better but you’ve got to start somewhere.

I know this won't be popular but I can't watch the current highlights with the commentary on, both try there best but I know.
The club should try and find a couple of fans who sound more professional and get them doing a decent highlights package.
