Season predictions

I think we can squeeze into the top 8 and quarters in the cup. I’d be happy with that.

I'm going for same as last season 4th. I think we have a better squad this year, New members plus the youngster,s from last season, who will have game experience.

7th would be a good achievement, plus cup run. We need to be getting top 8 regularly.

My biggest concern is that after falling away towards the end of last season we now try and pace ourselves at the start of the season, have a slow start and then end up in struggling for 8th. Lets get the points on the board early and ensure a top 8 finish, then see what happens.

We need to avoid a late season squeaky bum session.

Early season blitzkrieg would do me fine.

I think a few are getting a bit carried away predicting us top 6 but I'm happy to be proved wrong! I've gone 8th with us sneaking into the playoffs but think we may be hard pushed to get much higher.

Are we realistically going to finish above Saints, Leeds, Hull & Cas for starters? I think the top 4 will probably be those with Wakey potentially crashing the party tho I think 5th or 6th is probably more realistic for them. I'd hope we avoid the bottom 2 as for me KR & Widnes should be filling those spots. So anything from 5-10 looks wide open. Wigan nowhere near as strong as usual but they'll no doubt unearth a couple of gems from somewhere. Catalans will pick up enough wins at home to keep them somewhat competitive and W@nky can't be anywhere near as bad as last season surely? Hudds season will totally rest on Mano & their talismanic forwards staying fit as they're bang average if you take their 3 or 4 main men out.

Call me pessimistic if you like but I'd be more than happy with 8th and being competitive for the full season. We fell away drastically last year but played some great stuff at times.

Btw, we're being tipped on RL Fans to finish rock bottom by the majority of opposition fans. So are we all blinkered or are they just going with force of habit and condemning little old Salford before a ball has been kicked?

8th for me. I'd love to be more positive, but I think there are a couple of teams who finished below us last season (Wigan / St Helens) who won't be as bad. On top of that, I don't think we have the strength in depth (but I badly want to be wrong on that score).

Decent cup run - maybe another semi final.
