Give them a chance for God's sake. Maybe they have the wherewithal to steer this ship ..... even if, as individuals they may not bring bundles of cash into the equation. An injection of cash may not be what's needed at present. MK stumped up plenty to no avail, so perhaps a different outlook is needed, not simply financial input.
People on here are simply too quick to pour doom & gloom across every item of news.
Don't be so quick to judge hey ?

I still don’t really get it, it is being described as “not for profit”, so how does that work?
Something sounds dodgy to me, not necessarily dodgy for the club, but maybe some kind of dodgy deal to get out of the debt perhaps? I dunno...
Either way, looking forward to the new season, blindly optimistic as always, fingers crossed for a good start!

I noticed that, if none of them have invested anything then it can only be not for profit. Maybe that's just a clumsy way of saying anything made will be ploughed back into the club. What would worry me with a new entity like this is if there is no money man involved what credit line have they got and who is it with? No credit and then immediately they are up against it when it comes to wages and club day to day running costs.

Unless it’s still Koukash’s money and these guys are just running it?

The biggest challenge now for the trust and new ownership as is already being shown in this thread us to somehow change the mentality of the fan base. We're quite a negative bunch, which is understandable with little or no success over the last three decades. However now is a great opportunity for the new board to outline their vision for the club and for the supporters to get behind it. It's a unique situation to have the fans involved at a decent level. Let's make the most of it.

The fans effectively own the Club, MK has given the club back to the fans......I think that's a good start. And without him we would have no Club. So we move forward.
The Club have already done a fantastic new deal with the stadium owners.
The supporters now need to get behind the Club because the number of fans determines the income to the club. Why should we always rely on somebody to bale us out.
ITS NOW IN OUR HANDS, STOP WHINGING AND SUPPORT THE CLUB.

We now move forward in to a brave new world with an actual board and a group of people who will all have new ideas. Let’s not forget how MK ran the club.......

I've asked Asif Latief to do a Q&A for us. Hopefully he will be able to.

The big issue for me is finance. It has also always been Salford's big issue for decades. It's okay having good people at the helm but if that cash isn't flowing their ability to steer the club is seriously compromised. Here lies the catch 22. They need much more money to flow into the club to reinvest to make a difference. But more money coming in relies on them making a difference. This is the stumbling block.
Finance in itself doesn't guarantee success on its own. Koukash is a prime example of the opposite. Plenty of money but made poor decisions. The secret is to have both finance and the right people controlling it. Once again we seem to find ourselves back to having one without the other.
Asking questions at this stage is not whinging. Telling people to shut up and support the club regardless is very 2017. I want the best for my club. I want to see us grow and become a solid club. The new board has done nothing but raise more questions for me.
I predict little change at the club that will be tangible to us as fans. Unless the mythical hordes of lapsed Salford fans suddenly have an aneurysm and decide to visit regularly it will be Salford as normal.
As you were.

I have been pretty critical of MK, however new board in place, I will now renew my season ticket this weekend. Under no illusion, without finance the club will struggle, if we genuinely want the club to succeed you will get behind the club & give it the support & hope this is a new beginning.

So Carnster any positive suggestions or actions as to how the Club goes forward without a sugar daddy? Or is it much of the same, same, same, old record. We need somebody to save us and when they save us like Wilky or MK, it's wrong..........
So.let's save ourselves mate. We apparently have been given the Club.

Marwan has resigned as a director of the club. The alert has just come through from Companies House.

Am I missing something or are we in danger of a points deduction ? - Whilst the club hasn't gone into administration, one company with big debt has been wound up and a new company has been formed, without taking on any of the debt ? I'd like to think the new board got some sort of assurance from the RFL that there would be no points deduction before progressing the takeover/sale/change of ownership/ whatever it is.
