I believe that ex player Alan Mc Innes has passed away. He was one of the first signings from RU made by Mr Snape. He was a massive signing at the time, from Sale RU. RIP

He was stand off before Watkins. Class player who also excelled in the centre. Didn’t Dougie Hill play outside him ? RIP

Yes Dougie Hill played left wing. Credit must go to Les Bettinson,as a senior teacher in Cheshire with Alan McInnes,Dougie Hill,Keith Fielding Gordon Graham and John Knighton(?) all teaching in the county, with our Welsh contingent as well,we were well served by RU.

R.I.P Hugh Duffy, one of my first heroes in the Salford shirt I agree with you scoot, for any younger supporters Hugh Duffy was the complete player in my opinion and he always gave 100% in every game that he played,I was gutted when we let him go to Halifax. He would have handled Superleague easily in every aspect of the game. RIP Hugh Duffy

Yes last saw Hughie walking round the ground on the last day of the Willows, still with that big smile on his face.
Glad these are being posted on here. Nothing on the club website as far as I can see. Mind you this morning they put the opening times of the ticket office up, sadly only the Christmas times. Whoever is running the website must be a complete dope or a Leigh supporter or both. Going downhill fast. Mind you we did get 3 items about our invisible leader. So at least we still know who he is.
