Mcgillvray, Widdop, Roby, Watkins, O'loughlin, Walmsley, brilliant, even Brown good but Bateman makes our Welham look international class. Surely Bennett has to play somebody else at the left centre.

Some good tries scored, but the error count is worrying. Do that against Tonga and we'll not win. Left edge redundant and Bateman needs replacing. I like Widdop playing at the back, similar to GOB's role. It gives him much more time to inject himself all over the field. Thought it was Watkins best International performance by a mile, long may it continue. I'll also hold my hand up and say Brown has been very good in the games so far...
I feel a bit dirty now.

Was surprised to see Bateman get beasted a few times as in the 2nd row he's more robust, that said the heaviest PNG was a centre.
I'd have Walmsley running wider, he's unstoppable unless there's multiple defenders in front of him.
I'm surprised how poor Hodgson was, looks a world beater week in week out for Canberra.
Brown looks like he's had a confidence pill, or maybe knowing he'll be playing at the Barton Enormadome next season has inspired him 😁

Can someone tell how did Brown stay on the pitch on the 25th min.  He went down like a sack of spuds. and should of been of for a HIA test. Beyond the joke. Plus it was a good job we had Childs as the ref and not a Aussie. Pack your bags for New Zealand lads, make sure you got everything with you, because if you play like that next week you will be going home . That is all i will say on that performance. |

Brown impressed me just by keeping hold of the ball after being cleaned out! Hope he’s ok for next week (feels odd saying that!)
Widdop showing the class everyone has always gone on about but I’ve never seen, fair play i’ll admit I’m wrong there.
Hodgson wasn’t great but think he has done enough to keep his place in the squad, personally I like Roby coming on against tiring defences, he’s so dynamic
Bateman has been poor, not his fault he’s not a centre. That said, I’m not sure I’d want to throw Percival in at the deep end now. Got to feel for Hall as well, getting no service
Childs, well, less said the better
All in all, encouraging performance in many ways, get that ball retention sorted and we’ve got a chance. Can’t wait for Saturday now!!
