The Oz ref showed how to ref a RL match. Kept the whistle in his mouth and didn't penalise all the niggly bits round the ruck, didn't penalise the nearly head high tackles; did penalise a ball steal and penalised early on offside to make sure they knew to keep back.
He was so good you didn't know he was there. Unlike Child's who seems to think he needs to blow his whistle every 20 seconds to bring attention to himself.
The only ref anything as good in our game is Bentham.
It was actually funny watching the English players appealing all the time whilst the Oz players just got on with it.
The only thing that spoiled it was the Bradford guru RHP, an expert in all things rugby league.
