I'm tempted to ask Derek Beaumont to do a Q&A for us. Like you say Carnster, he's the only person providing a bit of clarity on our situation.

I did a Touch Judge line in the 80s at Wigan highfield v a yorkshire club. The pitch was a quagmire of mud, no grass at all' one of the Yorkshire teams directors came into our dressing room to make sure the game was played as they did not want the expence of travelling again and once we had got past 60 minutes, if his team were losing to blow for time, as the score would stand and they would not have to pay winning money(played in the days before contracts, winning and losing money only ) That club are being run better now, but are still a championship club never having been in Super League
The way Salford appear to be going it seems our ambitions are on par now to that Yorkshire club

As some might know I'm a taxi driver and I work in and around the heartland of traditional fans, within 2 hours last night three customers had commented on the BMM sale (I have badges in the car for Salford so people often comment) and the one resounding factor from them all is that they won't be renewing season tickets as they are disillusioned (I'm keeping that clean for the sensors).
I'd suggest what has happened and the way it has been handled will impact sales and be a further self imposed nail in the clubs coffin.

I realise the club is in a precarious position and they are damned if they do, damned if they don't. What they really really need to be is more transparent. If the aims are survival, then come out and say it, get us all on board. It's the uncertainty and lack of direction communicated to the fans that is causing problems. Silence and ignoring of the fan base just increases problems. If they were just forthright about where they are going we'd back them in the way that they want.
It can't be too much to ask surely?

The only possible excuse for all this cloak and dagger is that one of the investors is a bigger name who will be putting more into the club, would I think make the board set up tricky.
Doubt that's the case but did get a message on Twitter that one of the names is an extremely wealthy builder who comes from Salford.

Peter Done, owner of employment law company Peninsula has just become the main sponsor of Salford City's Stadium. I wonder if he could do something similar for us in terms of financial backing!

I'm tempted to ask Derek Beaumont to do a Q&A for us. Like you say Carnster , he's the only person providing a bit of clarity on our situation. Well said he has been drip feeding for a while now, little snippets, acting as MK lap dog to ensure we get the facts bit by bit. MK had is plans to exit Salford after the million pound game, he needed excuses to exit the club, he as created plenty, knowing Manchester would be a non starter. I would have found some respect for him if he was honest about the situation, however from day one he as never batted with a straight bat. I have been a season ticket holder for more years than I care to remember, I have always been one of the first to renew my season ticket in October each year, I will continue to support the club but I will not contemplate renewing my season ticket until I have clarity on the ownership of the club. I have no problem in watching my club at a level we can afford which maybe as championship level, my only hope is it will not include MK as unpalatable this may be to others, this man as broken life long loyal supporters, I believe not until the man is gone will we see the real damage done to our club,I include the under 19s & the short sighted decision which means we have no chance of creating any youngster or asset for the future of the club. I have signed up to support the independent supporters trust, I hope the vision of the trust will be to support funding of the academy in any way possible as looks to me the only way our future can progress.

Didn`t you mean Springfield Borough Scoot? Wigan Highfield morphed into Liverpool City in the 1930s & I doubt whether you are now 110. Well done if you are

I seem to remember them from my early Salford days in the late 80's. Don't think they made it into the 90's tho!
