The club says only 2 weeks to renew season tickets under the old terms. Both fans who have renewed have secured their seats for next season. The proviso in getting favourable terms is that you must bring your rugby boots and a change of clothes. My mate Carnster could come out of retirement. He's more likely to be in hibernation now, didn't you know he lives in the Highlands and is actually the Mock Ness Monster.

I live in 1957 among porridge worriers. I suppose that doesn't make me a REAL fan under the terms required by certain sections of the Salford elite. Doubly so seeing as I'm originally from Stockport.

Well I would think MK with his MATES DOWN UNDER (minus Sheens) now so something must come out soon. From his lips it was he end of last week but there'll probably be a launch with his new mate Brown in Auss.

The Club website reads about our badge (assume Batley haven't bought it):
A NEW LOOK FOR A HISTORIC NAME IN RUGBY LEAGUE
Well certainly is boys. Selling international players, our player of the season, and buying Championship or lower division players certainly is a new look. Watson says the players going were not big enough. So who's coming to replace Ben: The Incredible Hulk?
So as MK says, we have some fantastic investors coming in, the butcher, the baker and the candle stick maker. They all bought a couple of Club lottery tickets each.
When will this Club ever Man-Up, be open, tell the truth and be inclusive of the fans. Because until then IB you're on your own with both your fans and MK's family, so they can say I told you so and move to Leigh or Bradford.
Let's not prolong the agony, let's just get into the Championship and enjoy it again.
Buying Season tickets, of course but for Swinton or Leigh. At least you know where you are and what you're getting there. Here it's the same old pie in the sky (if I could afford one in the 1873 Lounge).
So Rant half over.

Agree entirely with this bit and had a conversation with my dad along the very same lines on Saturday at Salford FC v York. Utterly futile to dress it up any other way than we can't afford to compete in SL without the Koukash money. We'll never fill the AJ Bell because of location (I'm used to it now after 5yrs - others will NEVER give it a chance). So lets bite the bullet and recalibrate at Championship level playing out of a smaller ground like Moor Lane - 5000 capacity when complete - or really chomp hard down on it and look at the Agecroft plans with Swinton and Moorside Rangers. Go semi-pro if it ensures survival of the club. It's supposed to be fun following your team, Salford and Super League is such a chore 75% of the time.
Of course, scrub all of the above if Fred Done fancies bankrolling us!

Why should we settle for obscurity? We've got some decent players which need supplementing, and we'll be OK. As a professional sports team and a business, why would the club want to show that level of ambition? As a fan, why would I want to see my team play dross week in week out?

BM because we have a large debt, no money, lost 6 players, recruiting from the 'dross' teams, small no of fans, no academy, no young players coming through, and now no backer.
Better to be a large fish in a small pond rather than crossing the ocean in a pedalo.
I thought this was the year we'd made it, great position early on, fans increasing then MK spits out his dummy, or perhaps has no balls, or perhaps he's planned his exit due to the impending debt situation. I think we were all looking forward to bigger crowds and more success next season. . Sadly with the debts hanging round our neck and the tied in contract to the ground, we're stuck. At least when Cas hit the bottom 5 years ago they didn't have the debts and the ground contract.
It's just reality mate and we need to face it, not hide from it in the way the Club is playing the charade. Emperors new clothes.

The club is showing this level of ambition at the moment. It's swapped competing next year for some short term financial security. Others are right in saying without a benefactor we're basically a Championship side, but I can't bring myself to be excited at the prospect of being a big fish in a small pond. I've spent my whole life so far watching Salford yo-yo between the divisions, and while some will be happy watching Salford hammer obscure RL minnows I've had my fill of that to last a lifetime. The club should be fighting and building on what it's done this season, not capitulate and concede before the season's even started.

Just read that Hull kr are raving about securing Jordan Walne and Tommy Lee, so perhaps we're not too bad. I really wanted to see us compete this year and not merely survive, that's the big issue.
We seem to go up a load of small ladders, then alongcomes the big snake. The debt is the big issue, who owns it?

All I want is the truth and not to be treated like an idiot and I will support the club in whatever state they are in. I don't blame Koukash if he has had enough funding the club and getting the crowds he has. I would thank him for his efforts and for some of the great games I have seen this year. I am not sure I would send anyone on one of Euromatech's management courses though. I was always told good communication was an integral part of good management.

Does he own Euromatech or did he just have the UK franchise ? If so,one of the UK companies has been dissolved. Also re the butcher baker and candlestick maker aka our new Trustees,I don’t think anybody suggested they were investors, just people entrusted with the running of the club. As has been said it remains to be seen if MK is a back seat driver. Maybe not,but without information, all we can do is speculate

MK said we had new investors via the Trustees, but eventually the truth will out
According to the S Times Rich List he's not a billionaire and not in the top 75 in the NW about £100m. Andy Bell (AJ Bell) and GED Mason have about £250m.

Sad state of affairs when you learn more about our current situation from Derek Beaumont than from MK or the club. Some interesting tweets to Salford fans that were asking questions. If anyone is in any doubt about our predicament, a glance at some of his honest and insightful answers will not fill you with joy.
Regarding paying off the clubs debt...
This was asked about the BMM sell...
And the reply...
More debt answers...
So it looks like the BMM money was a way to kickstart the trustees with some capital, which to me suggests that they don't have a great deal to put into the club. We are basically back where we were before MK turned up.
If we get another season out of the club I think we'll be doing well.
