Well what a match, Salford scored lots of points but the defence was key in the first half; enthusiastic and brilliant. And we passed the ball like the Harlem Globetrotters. 2nd half we just killed the game.
Apparently the players met as a group after the last match and had a heart to heart and it seemed to work. Pity A Walne is leaving as he played well. O Brian did ok, more in the style of Dobson but not in the same class.. we needed a general in the backs.
But hey 50 points in front of probably the lowest crowd of the season. Enough there to possibly even satisfy Dixon...umm

Was a brilliant display, one of the best all season.
Manu looked like well he looked like the beast we all wanted. Junior bossed the backs and never shut up. Niall missed one dog of a kick from the Caveman but other than that was imperious. GOB didn't look out of place with Lui, think they have a decent rapport where Carney looks out of place. JJ, BMM, Lannon & Hauraki all looked like they had a purpose and made every hit count.
I did wonder watching it if Carney had been the issue and if not if Watson has said forget the play book just go have fun, the Devil in me did think (and others stood near me) if Watson was still calling the shots as there seemed to be a massive change in tactics since the last game.
Think Huddersfield should be commended for the noise they made but also lucky the ref let them bring the duvet to lie on and have Brough the extra ref bitching at every single opportunity.

Brilliant. Managed to accommodate both Evalds and GOB. Agree with much that has already been said, particularly re the absence of TC. Won't see him again,I assume,as he's probably gone home ?? Shame that we won't see the Walnes next season,Adam is particularly a loss

I didn't know both Walnes had gone, is that right?
If so it is crazy to let 3 young forwards (Walnes x 2 & Krasniqi) leave, just hope it is not penny pinching as you won't get 3 players of their quality for anywhere near the same price.

Yes what a day. Salford win and score over 50 pt and a positive statement from Dixon.
As an aside who was the ref at the Hull kr Widnes game; another joker. But the ref at Catalan v Featherstone seems good.

Walne was offered a 3 year deal but on a considerably lower contract than he's on, this is due to the club needing cap space for incoming signings. Huddersfield offered him considerably more than he's on at present. Sometimes it's how sport works out, I'm pretty gutted he's leaving but will wait to see how our squad looks at the start of next season before having a go at the club. Fingers crossed!

Attendance 1405! (Rumour for those having a meal today that it's going to be Manchester xxx next year) Then they'd better hope mancunians turn up to replace the lost fans for that move! Really glad for the players on this one as much as anything else. This constant loss of players still worries me though have all of them not been offered contracts? Brilliant stuff today!

Think only Dobson, Carney, Walne x 2, Krasniqi going + young hooker gone ( Mossop? glass shoulder?)
So 5 additions plus 4 squad players to come in? Seems reasonable.
