This is based entirely on my thoughts and no facts/rumours.
Owners of Sale were lined up to buy last year. Drama of MPG gave doc a change of heart. Top 8 team is easier to sell and worth more ? Maybe they're being lined up again? They've just announced they're in talks to buy the stadium too.
Wouldn't be the worse thing in my opinion. Tap into their fan base and they seem to have the corporate advertising sorted.
Salford Sharks anyone?

I'm not convinced of the motives of Sale. There is very little incentive for them to buy us except for maybe plundering the odd RL player for RU. If I was being cynical I'd say their interest to buy us would be to watch us wither away and get rid of the barrier that currently sits in their way to the owning of the stadium outright. Salford Sharks doesn't sound too bad though.

A massive investment needed to clear the debt. How about a true joint ownership? Weren't another RU club interested a RL franchise earlier this year?
Is it a fact re Sale potentially buying the ground?
The reason to buy would, I assume, be to bring in revenue for 12 months a year. Ownership of the ground means income from Sky, hospitality, gate receipts etc. A true joint club would in theory be brilliant. But having been involved in mergers there's only one winner; the man who owns the ground.
Now if MK and Sale jointly bought it and put in the right Academies infrastructure it could be something v special.

Diamond doesn't own Sale.. MK is carrying a massive debt, without him we'd have no Club, stop playing him down all the time
According to the 'Mail' that virtue of good reporting, Sale need to control their affairs and if they get the ground, Salford would still be tenants.
Would still like to see joint ownership!

And no I won't stop saying how I feel. I won't ask you to stop supporting him if that's your wish.

Somebody has to PERSONALLY guarantee the debt and it's him, lots of millions.
It's not supporting him it's acknowledging the facts.

Didn't know any meaningful accounts of the new company were available. If they are, please could you provide more detail or where they can be accessed. I'm really not being difficult but you can now kill any suggestion that he hasn't put in much in the way of actual hard cash.

Thanks again, the accounts are fascinating. They do indeed confirm that MK has confirmed verbally that he will continue to support the company for a specified period. If I read it correctly, all shares are owned by one of the Euromatech companies and the share capital put up is £1000, although I may have that wrong. Let's agree that we're both right. He's supporting the company to ensure that it pays its debts for a specified period but he's not,as such ,guaranteeing the overall debt. I'm happy to leave it there. Thanks, once again
