Despite the recent dip in form my kids are still mad keen. I've been a season ticket holder for a while but they just come as and when until this year. I'm thinking of getting them season tickets for next year. Can anyone remember how much a kids season ticket was in the west stand this year ? Thanks

I still doubt the current set up/name will exist next year and season ticket sales will take a dramatic hit.
Still say that kids should get free admission to any sporting event in the UK (obviously first come first served for highly subscribed things like Wendyball) as without kids all sport dies.
If things remain as they are at Salford the club should be approaching Ikea to support/sponsor the junior section at the club, winning hearts and minds as when it is built next to the stadium it will be chaotic so buying some local good will would be good, sadly that would require the use of common sense which is in short supply at Salford.

Depends how old they are, this season kids under 17 (I think) were free with an adult season ticket

When are the season ticket prices for the next season usually announced?
Having had such a really enjoyable time attending a number of games this season I am intending on getting one for the first time for me and my lad. However we won't be getting them if the name change happens.
I think for the sake of fairness to the fans, the club need to make an announcement either way re name change issue before selling season tickets. I also think there could be legal issues if the club 'misrepresented' as Salford when selling season tickets and then subsequently changed the name.
I know bringing up the name change issue in this thread may seem a negative but I need to know before parting with my cash; these things aren't cheap and I already pay for a season ticket with my football team. An announcement putting this name change nonsense to bed would seal the deal!

I don't think they 'll go on sale until after the season finishes, I think that's pretty standard in Rl. I have a couple more wanting to get tickets next season, but I nor they will be if there is a name change. I would be very surprised if they allow tickets to go on sale and then announce any massive changes such as that.

I doubt it would be legal to sell a season for one entity and then change it fundamentally.
100% will be be purchasing a season ticket if there changes to names or relocation out of the city, remain convinced it is already happening and that the Doc will try and manoeuvre himself into a position where he is seen as a saviour and the RFL the bad boys.

I've been asked to post on here that it might be worth emailing Ian Blease with our thoughts on the name change and informing him that we will not purchase a season ticket until the name change rumour is put to bed. I know a number of people have already sent an email similar to the below:
DEAR SALFORD RLFC SEASON TICKET HOLDER /SALFORD RLFC SUPPORTER,
You are probably aware that Marwan Koukash is giving serious consideration to changing the name of OUR club. If you do not want this to happen will you please consider dropping a line to our Chief Executive, Ian Blease, Email Address: ian.blease@salfordreddevils.net
Message on the lines of: Subject: Season Ticket Dear Mr Blease, I wish to advise you that unless an assurance is given that there will be no change to the name of Salford Red Devils next year, I will not be renewing/buying my/a season ticket.
Yours sincerely ………………..

Good idea but one that would have zero effect, he already knows all of the above, which is for me the entire reason the results of the fans consultation haven't been revealed as they must surely be nearly entirely anti change.

I don't think it would have zero effect because it attaches a quantifiable financial loss to any proposed name change. I can't remember how much season tickets cost last year, but let's say, for the sake of argument, that they averaged out at £250 a time. If, say, 1000 season ticket holders e-mailed the club to say they wouldn't be renewing, then that's a loss of revenue of £250,000 a year. For a club that's pleading poverty (small squad, can't afford to run an academy, etc.), then that's a massive amount. I think it's a mistake to believe that because, as fans, we don't own the club, that we are therefore obliged to sit by and passively consume whatever the club offers.

I think we all know people who will no longer attend if he changes the name. Without covering old ground that it makes no sense, I also believe there will be a significant loss of season ticket holders.
We are aware of the difficulties in increasing crowds and the idea of upsetting the supporters who currently turn up baffles me. I am a season ticket holder and think it is good value. The crowds are poor and the owner constantly complains about it. I am fed up reading about it as I am not in charge of marketing so is not my fault.

I could be wrong, but if the club sell season tickets for next season under the name of Salford Red Devils, season ticket, and they then change the name to Manchester or what ever they choose, Im sure we could get our money back as they have sold us something not as stated in the original offer. Need a lawyer to comfirm this , but i think i am right.

Rumour and conjecture, that's all it is right now. People said it would be announced mid-season during Magic Weekend and it never materialised. Others said it was imminent several months ago.
