After today's victory against Hull Kingston Rovers can we still make the top 8 this season? We have 10 regular season games left in Super League and find ourselves 6 points behind Wakefield and Widnes as well as 5 points behind Castleford (although they play Saints tomorrow at home). We are also waiting to hear the outcome of our appeal against the RFL but with our recent record do we really expect anything positive to come out of it?
I believe we will have to win 6 out of the remaining 10 games at least to finish in the top, we might possibly need 7.
Saints (A) - Lose Widnes (M) - WIN Wakefield (H) - WIN Wigan (H)- ? Leeds (A) - ? Huddersfield (H) - WIN Castleford (H) - WIN Warrington (A) - Lose Widnes (A) - WIN Hull FC (H) - ?

We will need to be top drawer in both our attack but most importantly, in defence. I think our attack can put points on anyone but we will need to tighten our defence to give us a chance. Saying that, a few crazy results in our favour and our chances improve.
My gut says that we probably won't, barring a possible reinstating of a point or two on appeal. (We can dream)

If I'm being realistic I think it's very unlikely, defence is scratchy at best a better team would have made today even harder work.
Think we copped a few more injuries today too, hopefully they are short term we cant take many more Unfortunately our season hinges in next week, I hope Griffin, Jones and Lee are recovered

Okay, our defence it was beyond poor. Today it was shocking, we improve or we perish.

If Josh G was fit to take the field today I'd be surprised, he was a total Japanese snipers nightmare, fair play to him if he was but he looks shot.

Tommy Lee looked gone to me too, their first try in 2nd half he seemed to give up. Then for next few sets he was defending in the centres not getting involved, not like him at all. Hope they both recover, need them both for next week

If we beat Widnes twice before the end of the season we would only be 2 points behind them, surely this is achievable. We also have a few winnable games at home against Wakefield, Huddersfield and Castleford. In addition our recent record against Hull FC at home isn't too bad either. I agree with Ian Watson we are still in the hunt. Sky Sports WatsonIt all depends whether we can keep everybody fit though, fingers crossed Lee, Jones and J. Griffin are ready to go for next week.

Vidot coming back offers a little rest bite from any possible injuries in the backs but for me we don't tick over the same when Lee isn't playing, the type of player we miss when he's not there and hardly notice when he is.

G.Johnson was having a good season before his injury too, could we expect him to return next week? If Josh Griffin is injured we could put Evalds into centre and Johnson naturally comes back in on the wing.

Lui, Tomkins and Dobson are right at the top meaning through the middle we are weak, Lui and Dobson though aren't there for their tackling but Tomkins is unacceptable as it should be part of his stocking trade.
