I sadly can't really see a way we can win this Sunday as the impetus we had built up through playing some brilliant rugby appears to have disappeared. Wigan have many big game players who have been there and done that. Think we have to be tactically very astute, Sunday looks to be a terrible day weather wise so our pack must perform at 100% from the off until the final whistle, Carney needs to kick them to death and ensure they start there sets from as deep in their own half as possible. Think we still look slow in the backs but should Vatuvei play we at least then have someone who can add some steel out wide. Vatuvei needs to start and play in the Justin Carney roll by taking the first drive of the set to give us that early set momentum. Think Tasi and BMM will be key in the forwards, they must both keep their heads and not get involved as BMM in particular over the past few games seems to be getting frustrated and going head hunterish. This is Todd Carneys moment to shine, he is our ace in the hole here, he has done very little so far and is our one player with the experience of this type of game at the very highest level. One thing I sadly do think is a certainty is that some of our travelling fans will get on the grog too early and bring the good name of Salford down, hope I'm wrong but just think there will be some bell endery during and after the game. Salford to win by 7 then

If he really is 100%, then he has to play. He's been great all season. If he is anything less than 100%, he must not even be on the bench. We risk knackering him on the first play which means we play 70+ minutes with 16 players and then lose him for corrective surgery for the rest of the season. The season has not finished, yet. If we win 4 out of the remaining 7 games (certainly possible), we should get a shot at a place in the GF. A cool head needed here.

No Monday, hope you didn't miss the match Wigan 20 Salford 22. Child's gave penalty try in last minute. Carney scored all Salford points.
Wane protests to RL, Nigel Wood says game must be replayed this Sunday

The biggest day for 20 years! I expect lui to be 70% fit and on the bench. Thought we might get mullered, but this is Salford. After last year ( greatest day of my sporting life) I will never say never. Grab u friends, embrace it and let's sing our hearts out

Hmm it's hard to say, last year was pretty special but beating Wigan in 96 I think is probably the best in my life. This would surpass that though. Starting to feel nervous/sick

Can't for the life of me,thinking Manu playing as an extra forward like Justin Carney did.At 31 I dont think he as come all this way to be a battering ram I don't expect that from him.

I've been a NZ Warriors fan for years. Vatuvei has literally made a career out of being a battering ram. Famous for his uncompromising full-tilt returns, which helped create his legend in NZ. It's one of the reasons that injury has plagued him over the last few years. He has basically made a career on running as fast as he can into brick walls. Your comment is pretty much as far away from the reality as you can get. What are you actually expecting?
