Total RL puts a more generous spin on it than the Wigan newspaper. Truly great player and good coach until he had his issues. Good luck to him

Bit of a non-event for me.
If the players can't motivate themselves for a big game like this then there's something wrong. Nice to have a speech or two from a legend but really? Does it make that much difference?

The lads don't need any encouragement for Sunday's game. They know how important this is for the club and the fans. Gregory is just touting for business.

Hang fire, this guy made me fall in love with Salford. I used to just go with my dad as a kid until Greg took over, then it got serious. Absolute legend and top bloke.

Didn't we get to a quarter and 2 semi finals with Greg, before it went a bit south? He had us playing some great stuff, top team when you look back.
End of the day he's a Wigan lad and spent longer with Wigan than he did with us, as has been said it's a non story really.

But he did make his rugby debut playing for us. I was there and he had a great game. He won man of the match. His name then was ' A N Other'.

Always smarts when something like this happens but I'm kinda glad he didn't, things happen for a reason. If he'd had signed for us he probably wouldn't have gone on to be the player he was and achieve what he did.
