Adrien Durham was talking Rugby League,I think it was last week he made a comment that Hull KR will be in Super League next season come what may.He then said watch this space,in today's League Express our beloved leader is on about the same thing it will be voted on at a later stage, although he doesn't agree with it.It would mean a 13 team league and the money would come from the championship clubs to pay for it.Any thoughts

With regards a thirteen team league being funded from the championship clubs I find that pathetic and if it goes through the Superleague clubs ought to be ashamed of themselves.

All seemed a bit conspiracy theorist to me at first, but I've heard it independently a few times now. I'm not sure I believe it, but it does whiff of the RFL not wanting to risk any of their beloved projects or favourites from dropping out of the top flight. I sure as hell know they wouldn't be making these decisions if Salford had been relegated last season that's for sure. It's also dumping on the sides outside of the SL even more than they already do.

It could save Bradford from dropping any further too.

Think that this might have been mysteriously put on the table last season if Leeds had have carried on and dropped out and definitely this year with Catalan & Warrington looking like they might be in trouble.
The troubling thing is (apart from I agree with Dr Baby) is that it looks like they will be robbing the poor to pay for the rich by taking money from the championship teams, that is quiet frankly scandalous and shows the head in the sands policies the RFL adopt to feather the nests of the few rather than look at the greater good, maybe if they had negotiated a decent broadcast deal this type of thing might not need to have happened.
The RFL 100% don't want Catalan or Warrington to drop out of SL, Bradford to go down again (and in all possibility get into trouble again and finally give up the ghost), they want Toronto up in the top flight ASAP and I'd think wouldn't mind Toulouse making to the top to give greater exposure in France and a local derby for Catalan.
You do wonder though if there were to be a 13 team league how Magic Weekend could continue, you can't give one team the weekend off as you'd think it is a decent earner marketing and sponsorship wise, if one team did get the weekend off you'd think it would be Catalan who have the least travelling support.

I agree with what you are saying and with regards to your last paragraph the Hierarchy at the top will have Salford playing twice on the same day with twenty minutes between the two matches.
