Koukash said in his press conference this morning "You don't need a marquee player when you can sign quality like Manu Vatuvei & Tyrone McCarthy".

At once point I was convinced that Billy Slater would be our first MP but now can't see him doing anything but one last season with Melbourne and then retirement into the media.

1. neither are in the 19 (and I'm pretty sure we can only change 1 player from that list) 2. what about the lads who have got us so far?

Arguably better quality players than some in the current 19, why would you bring them in not to play them? I personally think something has to change to give us every chance of that elusive Wembley appearance. If we play against Wigan like the last 3 performances that trip to Wembley with remain elusive for another year at least.

2. what about the lads who have got us so far? They are currently looking decidedly average at best, if you think Evalds should stay on the wing because he has played there the last few games then you must be a Leigh/Wigan fan. We also need a grafting, tackling machine at 13, with Flash out TM must get a look in as we have missed Flash for me more than anyone who's not available.

I was referring to the comment of them playing tonight. For me, tonight is vastly important as it means we could be in the top 4 ... when were we last there? (Don't answer. I know, I was there.) The semi is another matter.
Anyway, if tonight continues my today at work, we'll be destroyed by dozens of points.

At this juncture, I feel it necessary to draw the honourable gentleman's attention to Challenge Cup competition rule B4:9, to wit: Rule B4:10 is all about Dual Registered players and not relevant to Salford. So, t'upshot is: keep it in your pants. Unless the club has pulled a fast one and registered them weeks ago, they won't be playing in the semi-final either.

Watson said today that they are both eligible for the Semi.
