I got a text from a mate I ski with, it said is it Salford Reds you follow because I'm here in Avoriaz, a French ski resort, watching them play some French team, but it's in French. Looks really good; so he's been a couple of times.
But we were golfing in Portugal when the Million Pound game was on and all we could find was a bar with Portuguese footy on. Then a mate found an app which relayed the match. Well when the Reds were 10 down with 4 minutes to play, he found it. Then they scored and I shouted out, so with everybody listening it went off as O'Brien was missing the kick ........then we waited and the next words we heard were 'and Salford stay in Superleague....and we lost it again, reception for everything was dire but we had a great night....even though the Portuguese didn't even know what rugby is and we hadn't a clue what had gone on.
Not the furthest but the best, only hearing both the last tries and then hearing that somehow we had won.

Similar to me Jack, was on a posh golf course in Belgium trying to keep up to date with the MPG and game up when we went 8 down. Came off and turned my phone on again to see the legend Salford stay in SL and then went bat **** cray while bollock naked in the shower surrounded by loads of Belgium golf hurrays. |
