Ok, as we're flying high in the league and cup I was thinking about past players that deserved to be in a better/ successful team. For me Gary Broadbent always seemed to give more than everyone else and deserved some success. Similarly since hearing Paul Highton so often on the radio I wish he'd have experienced success with a Salford shirt on. So who from past teams deserved to be in a competitive team ?

Controversial probably but I'll say Luke Patton.
Could tell he was a class above everyone else on the team.
Special mention to Craig Stapleton also.

Despite how it all ended, for the vast majority of his time Malcolm Alker was fantastic, certainly on the pitch. I know the last couple of years left a slightly sour taste but prior to that he was brilliant for Salford and was one player who could have moved to potentially achieve success but stayed to win with Salford, whereas most jumped at the first time of asking. For me he was deserving of a trophy

Mal Alker was my first real hero and it would have been great for him to have won something big at Salford!! I still have a lot of time for that team we had under Karl Harrison.

St. Helens 19-18 and Leeds 12-10 both defeats but when those clubs were on very top form. I suppose I remember that team fondly because I was a teenager at the time and a game at the willows on a Friday night was just the start of a top night out ha!

It's a pity we haven't assigned club numbers and Hall of Fame to all our past players, say those who've played 10 games or more. Most other clubs do this, I wonder if it could be done at the Club?

It’s been raised a number of times before. It wouldn’t surprise me if something was in the works re: heritage numbers.
