Thursday nights Challenge Cup quarter-final tie against Wakefield is our biggest home game in the last 10 years. We are just 80 minutes away from our first Cup semi-final in the last 19 years.
We need to create an atmsophere on Thursday that matches the importance of the game for our club and the City of Salford.
Please share some ideas of how we can create an amazing atmopshere. Get onboard with what we are trying to do and most importantly get to the AJ on Thursday night and show your support in numbers!!!

Call me a pessimist but I think the crowd will be dire on Thursday as too many people will take the cheap/easy option and watch the game on the box. So it's down to those of us that go to sing our hearts out from first minute to last. Last night was flat in the stands and tho there wasn't much to shout about I think we let the players down.
For me, as a supporter, you back the team through thick and thin and even more so when we're having an off night. The last thing we need is to get on the players cases. We looked jaded and got outmuscled last night but we have 48 hours extra rest than Wakey for next week (tho I'm sure they'll rest players on Sunday?
Let's get there early, start the singing before kick off and don't stop for the 80 minutes. If we concede an early try we sing louder and back the team with positivity. I have every faith that this bunch of players will respond.

It would be good if people get in the ground a bit earlier for the warm ups and give the players a bit of a lift with a few songs before kick off.
As for the crowd sadly we'll be lucky to see 2.5k again. Would be good if everyone could bring one extra person but it will be easier for many to watch on TV and I think they will.
As for the game, it's our best chance of success since Koukash took over. A semi final appearance would see good numbers turning out and re generate interest in the club. Hopefully we won't see a civil war on social media between club and fans in the lead up to the game and we can go into it with a bit of positivity for once.

No negativity, doesn't matter how the game is panning out. We had a poor start against hull kr in the last round and managed to turn it around. Everyone at the ground on Thursday has to be completely 100% positive and behind the lads. Forget all the back biting and bickering over re-branding, just for this game at least. The stakes are massive. 2 wins from Wembley.... Just think about it 😀 |

Stop standing there in silence in any game where we concede an early try and get a few songs going. It has become the norm to spend the 40 minutes that we attack the north stand in complete silence. The only time anyone bothered singing vs Wakefield was the time that we briefly went into the lead. People booing the team off at HT when we are second in the league vs Hull. It's an embarrassment. We don't need any gimmicks, we just need people to make the effort. I actually think it will be decent on Thursday. Our first sniff of success for a number of years. The best thing we can do is drag people down to the game. Extra numbers makes a massive difference. |
