He's a more important signing than a lot of people realise. Extra forward, massive defensive shifts, can cover the forwards and even slip into a half back role when required. Like I've said before, he's like a really good version of John Wilkin.

Great news. His link up play in attack is really important t to us. We're not as effective going forward when he's not playing. I'm not sure exactly what he does other than pass accurately but we struggled when he was injured and I think it's one of the reasons we were a bit flat yesterday

Great news! He's one of the unsung heros in our side, and complete work horse and a leader on the field. I was a little anxious of him being linked to Castleford as they are going so well, but did expect him to stay at the club as he seems to really be enjoying his Rugby and lives in the Manchester area.
I had a chat with Mason Caton-Brown over the weekend and asked him "When are you coming home to replace Carney", his response was "Maybe mate, maybe" with a smile, with what I could gauge from his body language and facial expression I would say he's keen to return to the Red Devils which would be great too see. He also lives in Manchester so surely this would make sense when you consider Wakefield will be playing in Dewsbury next season.
I never thought I would see the day when we so many quality players resigning for the club (even after playing at Saints such as Lama Tasi), massive credit must go to Ian Watson/Ian Blease, the coaching staff, players and dare I say it even the owner for creating and fun, friendly hardworking and successful culture at the club. I strongly feel these next three years will be the best in the clubs recent history and we will finally manage to make a final or be regularly challenging at the top.
Finally, all this club needs no is more fans, we have the players, the stadium, the money, the passion to be a top side in Super League. I urge all of our fans to make a conscious effort to bring more friends and family to the games. Hopefully by 2019 we will regularly be attracting 5,000 home fans to the games which is what the really club deserves.
Onward and upwards!!

Good News re flash, but the rumours re Evald`s wishing to leave are still circulating. Wakey board indicating he is still unhappy and wants to go. I really rate him as a utility player and also prefer him on the wing and 100% improvement on Carney. Ok his defence is not the best, but his link up, chasing the kick through and short burst of speed near the line is right up there. He is young and hopefully a squad player that we need to sign up long term. Anybody else heard the same rumours or whether he is likely to sign an extended contract.

oh and re home game on Friday v Hull I will be bringing a car full yet again...as my lad wants to bring his 2 college mates, so new visitors to the ground and club. As Salfordlad alluded too...keep pushing the club and ask a friend....if we can all try and just take 1 extra then we can make a difference.
