A couple of things after watching the extended highlights. You could hear the Catalan players thinking please don't head towards me when BMM was on that run, a beast an absolute beast. You don't appreciate as much as when Carney did it but think Evalds can do the same type of job early in the tackle count as Carney, the benefit being he is faster and knows where the try line is more, Carney will be missed for sure but think Evalds can make a name for himself on the wing scoring a hat full. Some of our goal line defence was immense, on God knows how many occasions we either held them up, drove them back or bundled them into touch. A far cry over recent years where we have been easy beats when the pressure was on. Think the Catalan player looked a little unfortunate to be binned and that Hason was just a bit lazy, what I found odd ast night was why when JJ scored did the ref not blow straight away when he pointed to the spot but watched him get up and carry on towards the posts? Would have been interesting to see if he had dropped it when he put it down 2nd time if he would have given a knock on. He didn't award the Jones try,but was pointing to the spot where he had gone to ground, thus not able to improve the position of the touchdown. Therefore if Jones had dropped the ball,it would still have been awarded in the initial touchdown position. Clear?

Salford1961 - much as I was hoping welham's try really did make it 22-0, he got the 3rd. Just watched the highlights again to check Evalds made it 22-0 with the 4th tryI think if number 22 had scored in the 22nd minute to make it 22-0, it would have been too spooky. But that's s tiny thing. What a night. I think it is the best rugby I have ever seen a Salford team play. Some of the handling was sublime. The way they moved the ball for Welham's try was incredible, we played better off the cuff stuff than we have before, Lui showed incredible pace, Johnson's chase and tackle with a couple of minutes left said everything. And I would have paid to enter just to see BMM's hand off and run that led to Flash's try. Fantastic In the past whenever we had a big occasion like this with new people coming we would have folded on the pitch. But not this team. The fantastic gesture by marwan and the club, the fans' and public's response and the team performance. A perfect night RedUnderTheBed I must have got carried away in the emotion of the night All I can say after watching the extended highlights back is what a team we have to watch at the moment. Let's hope we can continue tomorrow at Warrington.
