This may sound strange after racking up 50 points but I don't think that was us at full throttle. That's no criticism whatsoever. It's a great feeling to have a side capable of scoring heavily.
Great support as always from the faithful and good to see some new faces, some who hopefully will become familiar in future. It would have been the first time many had been and they can't argue with what was put on for them. I think the atmosphere at home games has been slowly building along with the confidence evidently flowing through the squad. It would be great to get it to last nights level every match but I may be getting greedy

I hope they have highlights somewhere of BMM's rampaging run at left centre in the 2nd half!😊 Try of the season if he'd managed to go those extra few metres!! Let's back it up with a great win at Wire on Monday pls boys! Looking at their forum on RL Fans... the Wire fans are in absolute meltdown. Hopefully, a huge turn out from our fans as well to cheer us on to a famous win.👍

SalfordSlim - it's on the link I shared, i agree it would have been the try of the season and was brilliant. I'd forgotten about the offloading and breaks in the run up to Lannon's try as well. They are great On Sky they didn't show the BMM break but Phil Clarke said Lui is in with a shout for Man of Steel while they were showing his incredible try. I think BMM has a better shout for MoS. I can't think of a better forward we've had. I can't see past Hardaker or Gale for it at the moment but if a few of our players carry on in this form, who knows where it might end up - Dobson, GOB, Lui, BMM have all got potential claims on it I think Right, I'm going for a lie down now!

I have to join a Salford/Sale joint supporters group to watch it?😦 Nothing against Sale but club rugby union is dire! I can just about cope with the odd international mind.😊 Will check the Catalans site.... assume they're on there.....

Good highlights those.
The build-up before Lannon's try was exceptional, and what can you say about BMM's rampaging run? Magnificent. We still need to plug that gap behind the ruck that we seem to be a little slow in closing. This bit worries me slightly if Clark plays on Monday. Saying that, let them worry about Brining doing the same thing!

A nice little aspect of yesterday's win is that those two points - together with Widnes losing at Castleford - means that (barring any off-field bell-endery leading to a points deduction - and, let's be honest, that's not impossible) we are now mathematically certain not to finish bottom. Interestingly, someone on the Virtual Terrace has dredged up the preseason predictions thread, where a fair few people were predicting that bottom is exactly where we would finish. Heh.
Also perhaps worthy of note is that that was the second time this season where we've scored nine tries in a match through nine different scorers (Widnes away was the other one). Despite having scored the second highest number of tries of any club in Super League this season, we've yet to see anyone score more than two in a game. I guess they're sharing the tries out a bit, which is perhaps a reflection of this being a real team effort.

I forgot how good the build up to Lannon's try was until watching it back. Johnson bursting through, then Welham on his back and straight back up, Lui, Dobson, Johnson again (seemed like everyone had a go!). Made so much ground and kept it moving... Everyone was superb last night, very moving, very proud.

A couple of things after watching the extended highlights. You could hear the Catalan players thinking please don't head towards me when BMM was on that run, a beast an absolute beast. You don't appreciate as much as when Carney did it but think Evalds can do the same type of job early in the tackle count as Carney, the benefit being he is faster and knows where the try line is more, Carney will be missed for sure but think Evalds can make a name for himself on the wing scoring a hat full. Some of our goal line defence was immense, on God knows how many occasions we either held them up, drove them back or bundled them into touch. A far cry over recent years where we have been easy beats when the pressure was on. Think the Catalan player looked a little unfortunate to be binned and that Hason was just a bit lazy, what I found odd ast night was why when JJ scored did the ref not blow straight away when he pointed to the spot but watched him get up and carry on towards the posts? Would have been interesting to see if he had dropped it when he put it down 2nd time if he would have given a knock on.
