If somebody has a problem they sometimes seek help from a councilor on MP Give the girl a chance, she was their because she was invited I presume and she was welcome. She does not have to be a fan.Their are councilors who go.Koccash gets wind of a fans meeting about something they care about and all he can do is go on about the local MP in attendance. When what he should be doing his to start marketing the club.I did not say the poster was rubbish I said that clowns twitter was rubbish. Apologies. Although, to be fair, it wasn't that clear! Canster. There is no need to apologise.

It's a shame that more former players don't attend games. You see a few every now and then but not many. Maybe they don't feel welcome.

Maybe they don't feel welcome. By the club or the fans? I would suggest from the club, can you imagine if a Sini or Forber was stood in the South stand with everyone? It would be gold. Have always said any ex player who showed loyalty to the club should be given life membership and utilised for match day experiences and marketing.

United and City have several former players working for them but they do have much deeper pockets. The question is would any former Salford players be prepared to work for a free ticket, parking and access to the hospitality area's?

From what I read about the clubs attitude towards marketing I doubt they even care, it seems to me the current regime seem to think bitch enough and the fans do most of the fan recruitment and publicity themselves.

I remember being told that in 1969 when we played Castleford in the CC Final that some councillors who never attended a game at the Willows expected a VIP invite for Wembley. A good example is the former strategic director of Salford City Council who refused many invites to the Willows saying he didn't like rugby. Then a few years later he became our CEO and took to social media to have a go at the Salford public for not getting behind the club. He used to tell me he was a Wakefield fan.

To be fair I saw Bleasey at quite a few games over the years and he was always interested in them I agree that not enough use of welcome is made of former players in general though. Used to think the same in the Wilko days too I think it's a shame that more councillors and MPs don't attend. As someone said Hazel Blears was an attendee at the willows and Val and Eric Burgoyne were both regulars (both ceremonial mayors at one time or other). There were a few others who went - joe Murphy and others I fidget. Don't see so many any more and I know the relationship between the council and club isn't great They can absolutely represent their voters views on this without attending but it would be good if they supported their local club

I'm sure Bleasy shared a box at The AJ Bell before becoming CEO, I do agree though more needs to be done to get people who have been exceptional servants to the club at games for free. I feel it would add to the match-day experience and give the place a better feel.
