On this date we lost at home to London in the qualifiers. I remember watching that game and thinking I was watching the end of it all for Salford....it could not get any worse than that day. Fast forward to now and I have no answer to the question "what has changed" when my non rugby watching friends ask. Its amazing to think how close we were to the edge last year. Credit to everyone who has helped turn in around. The threat of a Manchester franchise (awful word) I fear is real so it is so important that this season is not a one-off. it must be built on like it has at Castleford and Wakefield. Along with us, those two clubs doing so well is brilliant and watching Saints and Wire have the kind of season we are used to hopefully shows how cyclical sport can be. So onwards and upwards for Salford and lets hope the people of Salford start to catch on that we are worth watching.

That London game was one of the worst performance I'd seen, how we turned it round against hull kr I have no idea! Remember walking away from the ground feeling absolutely empty, had taken my lad with me I thought he'd never be there again and he'd be lost to the wire with his grandparents. Now he is constantly singing Salford songs, literally constantly. Annoying as it is, still makes me proud!
