LINKI think the club are right to make a statement about the behaviour of some of our fans last night. In the South Stand there were a number of incidents at Half Time which resulted in at least 1 fan being turfed out of the stadium. I thought G4S could have stepped-in a bit quicker than they did. You could see that tensions were boiling over but the security guards did very little until it had got out of hand. There was also a small group of idiots that had climbed the scaffolding at the back who got told to get down. This picture sums it up - absolutely embarrassing!

Is that headgear supposed to stop people recognising them?

Aye, and posted on his own Twitter account complete with name and photo. Fairly sure that isn't a photo from the Barton-upon-Irwell MENSA meeting.

Don't need these people anywhere near the club or rugby league for that matter. No doubt they're football yobs who got wind there was a bit of aggro after last time and fancied some.... Pathetic.

So what actually happened at half time? I went for a pint under South Stand and heard a commotion but nothing that seemed too OTT. Just thought it was a certain "vertically challenged" Salford fan giving the verbals as he had been doing most of the 1st half.
Also, someone on the HKR RL Fans board has posted a cryptic message about some trouble caused by Salford fans at the game which implied some HKR fans were attacked. If true, they're a disgrace but has anyone seen the incident/heard anything about the incident?

Seen on Twitter the same vertically challenged individual may have done something naughty to another Salford fan.
*EDIT*
Might be a load of testiculos by the looks of it.

You are referring to a different "vertically challenged" fan. There were 2 incidents I can think of that both involved a small fan!

So what did/didn't happen?
Didn't see anything remotely scandalous at half time. Though that said was downstairs in vigorous negotiations over the price of the miss charged beers.

I was accused by a fellow with whom I know stand with at every home and away game and know very well of saying that he didn't care about Salford when i didn't, it was actually someone else who said it he totally got the wrong end of the stick. Anyway, as for the incident itself, i was stood to the far right of the south stand when the said person approached me shouting all sorts so naturally i shouted back and things got heated as i had no idea what he was accusing me of or why, he was just in a blind rage shouting at me and im sorry, but i wasn't having that especially as i had done naff all. Anyway as mentioned above it turned out to be a false accusation and we had a pint together after the game so i really doubt the statement is about that.

Really confused by all this, are some fans for the name change and others against it or was it just a pissing contest when people had had a scoop?
Don't get what the deal with the balaclavas was, just incredibly frustrating that at one of (if not the biggest) highest points in the club's recent history there seems to be a real downer being created by the club, is it intentional of the powers that be to achieve a split amongst us to say see we need to move to start afresh.

Couple of points to add on the incident. I stand right hand side of south stand and was no more than 10 yards away from the "Salford Forever, Manchester Never" flag that appeared. Whilst I agree 100% with the sentiment and applaud the passion (and no doubt decent amount of cash invested in making the flag) I do think the aggressive manner of some of the chanting aimed at Marwan needs reining in. I also think that the club have overreacted with the tweet (unless more has gone on than has been mentioned on here). For media outlets to be publishing articles off the back of the tweet putting us in a bad light over what amounts to almost nothing is just the club shooting itself in the foot again.
I'm vehemently opposed to the "rumoured" move and name change and believe it will be the final nail in the coffin but any protests need to be done in an organised, well thought out and co-ordinated way. Getting tanked up and shouting abuse at the owner isn't going to have the desired affect. I've not seen what's been posted on Twitter by "fans" of the club but I can only cringe at the thought of what it may be. Unfortunately some of our most vocal fans are ones that are unable to string together a coherent sentence and resort to purile abuse and threats as their "go-to" form of protest.
Due to an emergency I can't attend tonight's meeting at the D&P but I hope to god that it's being run by someone who is able to control a heated debate and it doesn't get out of hand, as the potential is there.
