Think we can safely expect them to bring a positive tsunami of fans with them meaning a bumper crowd.
Ok I know it's not ideal them coming on a Friday night but with the history of the MPG still looming large the club should be looking at ways of packing the place out, early bird tickets on sale against Widnes, family tickets, £15 to every adult, get a load of freemans tickets out to schools for the East stand and some decent pre match entertainment.
Done right this for me has the potential to be the most important home game of the year with the very real chance of generating so much interest in fans old and new across the region.

I don't think there will be enough room mr with them bringing at least 10,000
I agree needs to be some deals on this one get a big crowd in. hopefully everyone behaves and it doesn't entice the wally element of our support.

I think the fact that it's on Sky Sports will detract some of their fans from coming.

I think the fact that it's on Sky Sports will detract some of their fans from coming. Exactly why the club needs to work hard with this one. What I hope doesn't happen is that Sky ramps up the hype and pressure on this like it did with the MPG and it turns into a running battle from the less than educated morons from both sets of fans. Sad to say but I'll be very surprised if there isn't significant trouble on the night.

I have to agree with you about there being trouble. I just hope our lot don't go after it. Let the team do the battering. We can't stop away fans from doing what they may or may not do but we don't need any more hassle with the RFL and fans of other clubs slagging us off

Michigan, with this being the CC I'm not sure the club can make special offers with the Tickets as it's a shared gate. It's a shame because with our clubs recent history we could potentially have a big crowd.

Think you might be right, there should be tickets for it on sale at the Widnes game this weekend at the very least, make sure they hammer it out that tickets can be bought after the game and hope that there's a resounding win and people get that feel good factor and buy them there and then.

Think it'll be a sh1t crowd tbh! Fri night game on Sky won't just affect the travelling numbers. Would be surprised if more than 3k there unless we can do something on ticket prices? Maybe approach HKR and ask if they would accept a drop in ticket prices (if we're allowed?). Might tempt the "on the fencers".
3000 x £15 is £45,000 2000 x £20 is £40,000

Ask and you shall receive 15 quid for season ticket holders for both us an kr, and can get the VIP bar ticket for an extra 5er.

The CC is stil our flagship cup competition but it never really kicks in for most fans until the quarters/semis and crowds for the early rounds are woeful. I'd love to see the RFL make all cup games £10-£12 and subsidise them somehow for fans. Increased crowds and some sort of increased sponsorship deal would help cover the revenue losses. Don't get me wrong, when you compare rugby to football it is still great value but we still need to re-invogorate the cup as it just doesn't seem to carry the same appeal as it did 20-30 years ago.
