Okay geeky types your help is needed.
I got prompted a few weeks ago to update my version of Adobe flash and since then I get the blue circle of death near my arrow pointer. Have had to uninstall Adobe all together, when I try to reinstall the very same problem happens.
Making it that I can't watch the NRL, movies or I-Player.
I'm a total and utter techno-dullard BTW.

All the online blurb seems to say it's a fault with my fingerprint scanner.
Problem is I don't now or never have had one.

Try removing all instances of Adobe Flash player and click here to get the latest version. See what happens. Have you tried accessing iPlayer or other flash-based websites using different Web Browers? For example, if you are using Internet Explorer, try accessing the same websites using Google Chrome, FireFox or Opera. See if this makes a difference. Make make/manufactuer is your laptop? The 'blue circle' near your mouse can be an issue if your laptop has a Biometric scanner. HP Simplepass is known to cause this. The best way to find out if you have a Biometric scanner is to go in to Device Manager (right-click on Computer, go to 'manage' and go to 'device manager'). If there are any Biometric Devices listed, just right click on them and choose 'disable'. Might also be worth updating your antivirus and running a full scan of your laptop. If you have anything such as CCleaner of Antimalwarebytes give these a run too. When you were told to update flash, was this from a 'dodgy' TV streaming site, or a legitimate website? You might have infected yourself if it was a link from a dodgy site. Another suggestion - if you've got System Restore turned on, you can 'roll-back' to a date prior to this problem occurring and this will fix the problem without removing your data/documents/pictures etc.
