Quite brilliant signing for Toronto, will turn an unstoppable team into a juggernaut.
Hopefully not eligible for this weekend.
You do kind of wonder if Toronto know that they might be in SL inside 2 seasons rather than just a double promotion via the system.

At the risk of sidetracking a potential Ryan Brierley hagiography, can I be the first to say that I don't think he's Super League standard? Tons of pace and.... And what?
As for the Toronto juggernaut, you have to remember Brian Noble, the sand in the gearbox of any mechanical device. It remains to be seen what happens, but Toronto have also got an awful lot of players who couldn't get Leigh into SL.

I think they are a good distance away from SL standard, as for brierley if he was that decent then hudds wouldn't let him leave that easily as he cant be on that much

I read elsewhere that, providing the paperwork clears the RFL in time, he would be available for this weekend's CC game. Also that he is Toronto's marquee signing. Really?

There are some players who I think are much better than coaches give them credit for,and who are too often not used in the right way or have a general game plan that needs a different type of player. His success at Leigh where he looked tremendous had a lot to do with Leigh's way of playing and Rowley's coaching. This should bode well for him and the Wolfpack.

If Lee Gaskell was keeping him out of a very average Huddersfield team, that speaks volumes.
I hope he does well at Toronto but not against us on Sunday if he's eligible to play.

If the RFL want them in Super League that's where they'll end up. They'll just do another re-structure like they did in '96 when we were kicked out to make way for PSG and London.

Great signing for Toronto, some of the Rugby he was playing for Leigh when they were dominating the Championship was brillIant. He never really found his feet at Huddersfield So it's no surpirse to see him link back up with Paul Rowley (I belive he had something in his contract at Leigh meaning he could walk at anytime if Rowley left).
Brierley's a big Salford fan and has previously said he would love to play for the club at some stage, which is great to hear! Would I have him in our squad over O'Brien, Dobson, Lui and Carney probably not.
Either way he's a great signing for Toronto and I'm sure he will score loads of tries, something tells me we'll be seeing them in Super League in 2019. The RFL will find a way to get them in but I have the feeling they will be able to do it on there own accord, they'll be tough to beat at home.
