Can we make it 5 wins on the bounce? Will we get our record attendance at the AJ Bell? Will the Catalan trip be one to remember in 2017? How do we rotate the squad to ensure everyone stays fit for the rest of the year? All to be decided in the next 8 days, very exciting times supporting Salford!
Firstly Leigh, I've had a chat with my mate who's a Leigh fan and he thinks we'll put 60 past them easy, being a derby game though I can see it being much tighter than that and there's no doubt Leigh will be focusing on defence this week in training. With quality players on the sidelines including Gareth Hock and Josh Drinkwater arguably 2 of their best 3 players we should in theory smash them after beating Hull so convincingly. I'm going 48-10 Salford.
Having spent most of the weekend in beer gardens on the piss celebrating Friday nights victory, it's evident that a lot of people are talking about Salford at the moment especially now with us being 2nd in the League. It seems everyone I have spoken to since yesterday is coming to the AJ Bell on Good Friday, I honestly believe this will be the first time we get a 7k+ crowd since the first game of the 'Red Devilution' era against Wakefield. There's no doubt Leigh will bring 2500+ so surely we can bring 4500+ on a Bank Holiday with no Football and everyone ready for a big weekend on the booze?
Catalan will be tough given they have somehow ended up with an extra two days rest (nice one the RFL), it is however worth mentioning they've got 2 away games (Leigh and Huddersfield) in a row before heading back home to play us on Easter Monday so surely all that travelling will have an impact. By the sounds of it we're taking a lot of fans to France, I feel our exceptional recent performances and the game being played over Easter has something to do with that. If the Red Army are in fine voice there's no reason why to boys won't respond and come away with the two points, but it will be very tough!
"I want to be in that number, oh when the Reds go marching in!"

I'd settle for one win out of two. Hopefully we can get another two, but two points out of four over Easter isn't too bad. A lot will depend on the injury list and the fact that I think IW will probably rotate a few players which may change the dynamics that we've been seeing recently.
I agree with you about Leigh. They are short on morale at the moment but a local derby is always dangerous and the form book can go out of the window. I think we'll have too much for them though and I think a decent win could be on the cards. Catalans is a weird one. They can be very good and very poor but are always difficult to beat on their own patch. Could go either way.

Can anyone remember the last time we won five on the bounce in the top flight? I don't know when it was, but I believe it's depicted in a cave painting somewhere near the Pyrenees.

We haven't won five on the trot, yet. Just four! Don't count your chickens.

It will be a tough game against Leigh. We should always have been looking to win it as a home game against the newly promoted team and given our current form it definitely should be a game we should win But Leigh will raise their game against us and will throw everything at us. If Hock is missing it will be a bonus, he has been in great form but Hansen will have a point to prove and the rest of them will be up for. Beaumont probably will have put them on massive win bonuses From what I've seen of Leigh if you can stop them getting on a roll in the first 20 minutes then you have a good chance so a strong start is essential. Anything from Catalans will be a bonus. For the first time I am going so I hope they put on a good show!!

From what I've seen of Leigh think that the fitness levels are now coming into the equation, think important on Friday is to keep the tempo as high as possible.
To that end TC kicking to keep turning them around is important and if we can get Brining back his quick darts from the PTB could be a killer for Leigh.
Important for us is not to get involved in an arm wrestle as that takes us down to their level.

No, only four - the run that they just equalled, and where the last game was a one point victory over Sheffield, with the decisive drop goal being scored by Ian Watson. There were a few six match winning runs back in the late eighties and early nineties, but these always included a number of cup matches. To find the last time we won five top flight league games on the trot you have to go back to the 1977-78 season, where they won nine consecutive matches, including six league games. Forty years since we last managed to win five consecutive league games. Very poor. Meanwhile, over on the Widnes and Saints forums, their fans have been threatening to stay away because their clubs have been playing badly for two years or so. Saints crowds seem to be dropping away, or were until they got rid of Cartman the Coach. I wonder what their attendances would be like if they'd had forty years of it.

They did win five on the trot in 1997 - the first five games of the season. I missed it because they snuck in a shellacking from Saints in the Challenge Cup in the middle of the run. So, Friday means we've won five consecutive league games twice in the past forty years. We're on fire!
